I lived in Medellin for 354 consecutive days, which I've stated before. I'm now back in the US, which has nothing to do with the points I made. That time started April 8, 2017 and ended March 28,2018. In 2018 alone, in less than 3 months I was in El Centro at least 75 times. I went there nearly every day, sometimes twice a day. I've been all over El Centro, from El Mirador down to the river. Between late July 2017 and when I left I probably walked 400 miles or more in El Centro. I even rode my bike through El Centro a few times. I've taken a lot of mongers and even a few Colombians and given them tours of El Centro. My last night in Medellin, I spent, until after midnight, 50' below the warzone above El Centro, hanging with some Colombian friends at their house. They all walked with me far enough down the hill to catch a taxi, because taxis won't go there at night.

I need to confirm that JjBee62 is being meticulously accurate. On my last visit to Medellin, he and another monger had been out walking some of the barrios and we met at my hotel in Laureles and walked to a restaurant and chatted for quite a while. After our other had to leave for a 'hot date', JjBee62 and I walked to the Estadio metro station. He was nothing but helpful. We both spoke Spanish well enough to get along but tall white dudes kind of stick out. So, his point of why cause a fracas for a few dollars. It's just not worth it. Move on, if you can't walk away from 30 mil ($10 US) you should be in another country, maybe Thailand or Philippines. I'm not sure how to say this, but there are a few rules of the road. I'm not saying to be a doormat but be gracious when you call them out. This ain't Brooklyn / Chicago / Miami or whichever tough town you come from. This is their country, don't make them lose face. I don't try to scare new mongers. I also don't recommend they do stupid things. Quite the opposite. I've told a lot of guys how to get around in El Centro. I've also told them to find their own comfort zone. If El Centro freaks them out, they can go somewhere else. I don't try to force them to like El Centro, or to do things they aren't comfortable with.

Disrobing in a casa is safer than disrobing in your own room. Why? Because the casa has to protect the patrons. How long would New Life be around if the girls were robbing the customers? How long would they be in business if they are letting guys in to rob and murder the customers? It's also safer because you've limited your risk. I'm not saying don't take girls to your room. I'm saying, if you make a deal with a girl, stick to the deal. Don't try to shame her. Don't try to kick her out without paying her. Give her the money and make a note not to call her again. You're out $30? $50? You're the guy who claimed to have unlimited money. Surely you can handle the cost of a meal at a decent US restaurant. If it happens in a casa, don't argue for a refund. Pay the fee and then mention the issue to the manager. Show respect, be polite and it will go a long way.

Where did you get the information that Colombians learn English in School? Whoever the source is, you might want to disregard any other information from that source.

Some students, in some schools, take some English classes. This is by no means the majority of students and it certainly isn't true with the majority of prostitutes. Most will know a few English words, but not enough to carry on any type of transaction.

If you want to find Colombian girls who speak decent English, try hanging out in the Estrato 6 barrios. You'll get about a 30% chance there. Of course your chance of getting one to fuck you for 30 k COP is somewhere around 0.001%.

Also any bank that will not charge a big transaction fee when using the ATM machines. Also what bank's ATM should I use once I'm there. I tend to exchange cash but as it has been pointed out, it seems like I'm losing some money by doing that. Been to Medellin 3 times and would be happy to answer any other question.

However, if I'm going to give advice to people, I prefer to have experience of my own, rather than rely on what I've heard from others.

There are a group of girls who are regulars. They are there several times a week. There are others who only come by a few times per week.
