It's obvious here that your vaccines and booster helped facilitate an about symptom free experience. I say "about" because you mentioned a cough. Good job doing the right and courageous thing for yourself and others around you.

Posts: 20How not to get drugged inside or outside your apartment / hotel?
I have cancelled previous trips to Medellin due to safety concerns and have finally built up the courage to plan a trip. My biggest concern is being drugged with scopalamine or some other incapacitating chemical.
How does one take precautions apart from not leaving your drink unattended? Are there any precautions suggested while you have a girl in the room? Also, what kind of secondary phone should I buy that doesn't attract people with bad intentions? Obviously I won't be walking around with my Iphone 13 pro max. Thank you in advance for your input.

Posts: 14I spent some time in Medellin for New Year's. I am vaccinated, with a booster, and still ended up getting Covid. I had absolutely no symptoms. I went to the airport to leave and got my Covid test done at the airport. I tested positive. I didn't believe it. Regardless, they would not allow me to check in. I went back to my Airbnb and went to another lab that afternoon. I took a rapid test and a PCR. Both were positive. I had absolutely no symptoms. Earlier in the week I had a cough for two days. I thought that it was from being out in the rain and cool temperature at night. But I guess it wasn't. Anyway, I had to stay another week. Took another test and still tested positive. A doctor wrote me a letter of recovery because I had no symptoms. They allowed me to board the plane with a positive test and a letter saying I had recovered. When I got back to Arizona I took a PCR test. Again, tested positive. Had to be off work for 14 days. Took another test and was finally negative. I guess it depends on your immune system. Some people get it really badly and others don't.

I have had strep throat twice in my life, and it was horrible: fever, aches, throat on fire. I was out each time for 5 days and I knew I would be, and I still took every damned symptom reliever under the sun. From what I have seen, I would rather have omicron than strep throat, but there is no talking to these idiots. Before, I was like quit being so stupid, but I just got back from Cabo today and now I hope these fools stay stupid.
Thing is in December I was in Cancun, and cases were low, and it fucking sucked! The flights were packed there and it took me 90 minutes to get through customs and my gal 2 hours. Now I went to Cabo and Tulum and the flights were empty. The beaches were not crowded, and I got through customs everywhere in less than 5 minutes.
It made me happy that the idiots were staying home. I looked at all the wonderful things that have happened to me because of the pandemic and how I applied common sense and as far as I know have not been sick with Covid. I made it from the Mexico City airport to downtown in 15 minutes, and I got to Poblado from the Medellin airport in about the same time.
The tourist attraction Xplor in Cancun has amazing zip lines. I have since been when it was crowded and did only 3 total zip line rides. When Covid was in full bloom, I did 20+ twice! Mexico City has an amazing archeological museum. I bet it would have taken 8 hours to see it all if it is crowded; we did the whole thing in 2.
We have not talked too much about Colombia, but my take on Colombia is that the P4 P is not that great. What makes Colombian women special is how they treat their man. There are 10's in Colombia, and there are more there IMO than any other country save for Brazil. I remember seeing one and she stopped me in my tracks and not just because of her beauty but how nice she was. The thing is the great beauties are not easy to find.
A few of these women came out of the their hiding holes due to the pandemic, and I had a fucking ball with them. What I did not expect was to find a girl who looked like and had the dimensions of a Victoria Secret model and have her fall for me. Hell at least half of her suitors were out of the mix having checked themselves out due to their moronic paranoia. That these paranoid fools call others pussies and assholes cracks me up.
So I am in Cabo with my gal and a friend of mine, and he told me what all the Mexican guys were saying about us as we walked by them, and I wanted to say, "Yeah, dude, I am used to having guys honk their horns, crick their necks, and when we enter a restaurant, every guy stare at my gal. It is not new" but instead all I could muster was a "hmmm" when he told me what they said as if this was the first time I heard such comments.
The interesting thing about the Martenson and Weinstein podcast is that they get that Covid is just the start of things, and they are totally right these scientists are fucking with things they have no control over, but I already knew that. I have seen the government make horrific mistakes with health matters before. What gets me is how people keep letting government off the hook for their mistakes. Covid is the tip of the iceberg, and it is because the people responsible for it have escaped unscathed. But whatever happens, I know I will somehow adjust and come out ahead.
Still, it amazes me how many are still fighting with me. There is Elvis logic, Elvirus ETC. I could point out I was right about lockdowns, social distancing, and government stupidity and we could go back to the charts and data and fight it out. These fools still think that I was wrong.
But the best revenge is living a good life. So I prefer the night I had in Cabo: eating a delicious fresh shrimp taco, sipping a great margarita watching the sun go down over the fairly empty marina with this stunning creature who is head over heels for me. What I can say to everyone here is this is how I have done Covid. Has anybody else done it any better?

One common error I see (of the many) argued here about Covid is that people confuse population health with individual health, or probably even more, don't understand the difference or even know there is a difference.
I won't respond directly to anyone's post about this, there is not one person taking an overall cohesive overall stance on this topic. The only recent post that came close was RamsButt or whatever his name is, his insane sounding rant was actually closer to the truth than anyone has acknowledged, but I think he is basing that on intuition and not knowledge, which is okay.
You are all a pack of rabid Pit Bulls who jumped into a pool of jungle piranha, and you don't know what you don't know.
Carry on like I know you will. Geez.

Thinking about these stats, one can see that the pandemic is really caused by poor health and the aged, right? Should the rest suffer for these 2 groups? ... and if so, for how long?

Old is defined as when your dick no longer functions. Interestingly I am just watching a video on the subject of disability being a social construct. So for example, if you cannot walk (or FK in the case of people here), are you disabled? A strong argument can be made that a person is only disabled if society doesn't accommodate them very well. So 'the good life' can lived with viagra and you would be accommodated on that basis. Hehe.
