I once saw a disgusting documentary about the rat capabilities you describe. It turns out they can fit their entire bodies through any opening that is at least as large as their heads. They can climb walls and run across thin electrical cables at high speed. They can jump distances of up 1. 5 meters. Roach infestations are not limited by altitude either. I discovered this on the 25th floor of a Shanghai hotel.

Know your enemy. Because when a rat uses its claws to traverse your face in the night, it is bad ju ju. I instinctively knew what had happened but tried to convince myself it was a bird. I really knew it was not but then I saw the big fat rat. Just sayin' here.

    Status update

I listened to this brilliant chat yesterday.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SV6MXuGbPI

It prompted me to consider how people interact with each other online, how they avulate others, thinsg that we do here all the time.

It also gave me pause for thought and to help understand why I myself have felt so devastated during this past 2-3 COVID years.

Turned out they were living in the window air conditioner and eventually got hungry enough to eat through the insulation so papa rat could squeeze through the louvers and get some food. A day or two later I succeeded in chasing him up into the drop ceiling but later that day I had a hooker over and we were have a post coital snack and the rat fell through the drop ceiling and landed about foot from us, then buggered off under my bed. Did not really faze the hooker, whom I had known for years. This was all over a long holiday weekend and the rental agency was unavailable. I could not deal with the rat under the bed so I went to a hotel for two nights and the agency finally sent some paraguayan dude over and he dismantled the AC and there was a whole nest of baby rats and a big fat momma rat in there. And a whole trail of food and styrofoam insulation. They were definitely getting ready to move right in. I remember him walking out of that apartment with a canvas bag full of squirming rats. I couldn't eat for a couple of days and had to hire someone else to clean up all the rat shit and spilled food because that was not in his job description. The agency said they would send someone in the 'next day or two' but I couldn't sleep with rat shit either.
rat fell through the drop ceiling... Did not really faze the hooker LMAO jajaja.

    Great and disgusting story.

I've been in couple airbnbs in Buenos Aires / Bombona but luckily all clean (all high-rises).

Regarding Nutibara, to clarify: I haven't see a roach bigger than half cm there (and never seen mentioned earlier 3 inch roaches ever, kind of scary), most of them were very small ones, roaming in the evenings. They also sprayed the room when I mentioned it. I think it helped a little but overall preferred to stomp on couple times than inhale the poison daily.

Don't forget that in the new socialist Colombia, tennants have more rights! New laws to prevent evicting sitting roaches was one of the polcies that Petro campaigned on, I hear.

Roaches, that's a different story. I usually did my killing before bed. There was one bastard living under the fridge that I couldn't catch and eventually decided to let it go since he respected my boundaries and didn't put his feet on the table. Over time I grew to enjoy his company, hope you're doing well buddy.

The little guys got to have a life too as long as they don't get in my luggage to get a free ride to Merica who cares LOL.

For real, I do the bnb's around centro (prado, boston, etc.) and will not deal with any pests. Maybe a decade ago, but past that point in my life.

The good thing is that MDE has a lot of high rises, so there's generally no problem.

The giant 3 inch roaches you see in the streets around parque berrio, I have never encountered those in an apartment. I always try and stay above the 7th floor or so.

Occasionally, the apartments will have the German roaches, those little fuckers that are like half an inch long. When you see those, that means there is an infestation, and there's no getting rid of them.

In that case, I just send a picture of them to Airbnb support and get a full refund, and go somewhere else.

Those dudes who stay in the nutibara and have no problem with vermin, that must be some good p*ssy they're bringing back there to deal with that!

Pauline is an angry bitter dude. I doubt he travels the world, maybe MDE.

But then you brag about "traveling the world" as if that gives you some kind of one up or expertise. But wait a sec, aren't you the guy who was on the other thread sticking up for hookers who ask for $ for the sick baby, while recommending that guys send it in hopes of a great fuck later? It's a shame to spend so much time and money on travel and remain so gullible, as you aren't the only foreigner she is sending this request to. And yes, over the drinks and drugs you paid for she is laughing at you with her friends and real boyfriend. Enjoy your coffee, now wake up and smell it if you dare. LOL.

No. It's not lingo from a younger generation. If so, he would be using it everywhere. He only used it when he was being insulting. Since the core issue is how to get useful information from others, being insulting is counterproductive.

There's a middle ground between the casa or street quickie and the sucker that buys $600 Iphones, sends $ for the sick perro, deludes himself into thinking he has a girlfriend, or all of the above. With this third way you become familiar with a girl and develop a business relationship where each of you is more comfortable as you know what each other likes and expects during the time together. Yes they are treated like a human being while no delusions are embraced. Requests for expensive gifts and Western Unions are of course rejected. I typically have a few of these that I either met in casas, strip clubs, or on FB. If I get tired of them I move along as there are plenty of other choices.
There are as many middle grounds as there are mongers. Over the years most mongers try different things until they settle into a routine. Although I appreciate you making my point that if you can afford to travel for sex you can afford to treat people right.

But let's skip all of that and focus on delusion.

When I say I have a girlfriend, where is the delusion? Is it because I think she loves me? If I had stated such a thing, it might be delusion, but unless you know her better than I do it's delusional to think you know.

Frankly, love isn't part of the equation. Love is a subjective response to a mix of emotional and physical stimuli. It's not quantifiable or dependable. I love (within my subjective definition) many people who I would never attempt to share housing with.

Is it delusional to think the current situation will last forever. Possibly. Someone intimately familiar with the arrangement might make an accurate prediction on its lifespan. Personally, I'm not a believer in relationships lasting forever. When it's time to move on, I move on.

Is it delusional to think she's exclusive to me? In this case not at all. Through my home security system I know when she comes and goes and when anyone enters. It helps that she knows only 2 people locally, both friends of mine and female.

The only thing left depends on whether her behavior is consistent with expected girlfriend behavior. Since I'm the only one here familiar with her behavior, anyone who believes they know is delusional.

Certainly there are many guys believing in something which exists only in their minds. I remember a fan of my old roommate, the webcam model. When he dug deep enough to find her private, only for family Instagram account he learned she had a boyfriend. All along he thought he was her boyfriend, although he had never made an attempt to meet her in person. He was devastated. Many others have a couple of dates with a hooker and believe she's in love, when she's just playing them. However, there are a few who find actual relationships.

I dunno. Whenever guys start talking about rights, I start to think about maybe hitting them with several quick lefts. With rights come responsibilities, such as to do minimal research. Mongering in Latin America pre-internet, while speaking Spanish, was considerably more advantageous than what's happening now. Granted, pre internet and pre cell phones, you had a hard time keeping in contact with your favorite hookers. But that was probably a good thing! But for we gringos who spoke Spanish, none of this internet / translator / forum shit is an improvement over forty years ago. It just enables the amateurs.

But sometime next month is my 50th anniversary of my first hooker, so I have seen quite a few changes over the years. And you can't fight change.
