Posts: 1056Colombian Coffee IS not This Expresso Shit
The best in the world. Colombia is the world's third biggest producer, after Vietnam and Brazil. Not only is Colombian coffee's region a world and EU heritage site but its arabica bean is the benchmark on US futures markets against which all others are measured (like Maine potatoes, Brent Crude, Texas Lite etc).
Expresso: A sure sign there is no hope for the USA. Arab princes pay fortunes for tea, depending on rain fall, wind direction and a ton more. Coffee is similar, even if Americans just drink shit swept up in the favelas of Rio and São Paulo.

This is a superb analysis of huge faults in the self sponsored Pfizer vaccine research.

I wonder if this will ever be heard in the public sphere?
Let's hear all the baseless smears now.

Am going to watch this Canadian Pfirr debunk now.
The world has gone bat shit crazy, and the conservatives that rule the world are trying to brainwash everyone thru thought control via the media and media shutdown. It could not be any clearer that this is not left v right. This is authoritarians vs libertarians. And the governments are pulling the the strings and the sheeple have been propgandized by fear. It is going to be very difficult to walk back from this point. They have broken so many rules on trust, law, morality, honesty, freedoms. George Orwell wrote about this. But people laugh it off as if it is pure fantasy, but it should be a nervous laughter. Bcos it is very real and among us now.

Colombia due to its location has a growing season that lasts year round. You can get the best and freshest fruits and vegetables here at very inexpensive prices. There are fruits and vegetables that are completely unknown in the US (or Europe). In addition because agriculture is so bountiful, stores don't use preservatives or artificial chemicals in order to extend the shelf life a few more weeks. Here if the fruits or vegetables start to look the least bit stale they replace them with freshly picked produce.
The coffee here is arguably the best in the world. The US frequently buys Colombian coffee (and from other countries as well) but here the coffee is made from beans that have been picked very recently and have not been sitting in burlap sacks in a warehouse for weeks / months until needed.
Medellin is the most modern city in Colombia with an extensive Metro system which is always being improved and expanded. The buses are inexpensive (just a hair over 50 cents) what is unique is that you don't have to find a bus stop. Wave at a bus as it approaches and the driver will pull over and let you on. And once on, you press a button and the driver will promptly pull over and let you off.
The health care system in Colombia is very good and Medellin specifically has several of the highest rated hospitals in all of South America. Your Medicare won't work here but health insurance as a foreigner is not very expensive and the prescriptions are very cheap. (You see, their healthcare systems negotiate prices with the pharmaceutical companies, something that Medicare isn't allowed to do in the US) If you don't want to wait for an appointment or you want to see a specialist it won't cost you a testicle. Also there are a large number of Dentists here in Medellin (and throughout Colombia) and a fair percentage of them learned their trade in the US. Even so, I have spoken to many extranjeros from the US that have come here for a vacation and to have dental work done. The rates are less than the deductibles you would pay in many areas of the US (and that assumes you have a highly rated medical plan that includes dental).
I could go on and on. But let me address one comment that CaptainSolo has made several times. The women in Colombia are easily among the most beautiful in the world. Perhaps, CaptainSolo picked a bad time to come to Colombia. The second half of December is very slow. Many women have saved their money and bought presents for their families and aren't "available" the second half of the month. Or maybe the Captain got his bearings wrong and didn't find the right places to find his companions. I just can't say. But there is a reason that the Miss Universe contest has a Colombian or Venezuelan woman in the top 5 almost every single year. Colombian women are stunning and are very highly focused on their appearance.
I've also had acquaintances tell me they have been going to Panama or Costa Rica for years. But they started coming here becase the best looking women in P & CR were Colombianas doing working vacations.
I might also mention that sexual customs here are much more relaxed compared to the Puritan customs in the US. Here if a woman goes on a date with you to a restaurant (you'll need to speak Spanish. Google translate won't cut it) but then if she accepts another date. Well that pretty much means you are headed to a bedroom.
In my estimation Medellin can't be beat. But that assumes you've read the forum and know what you are doing and how to get around. Having at least some degree of fluidity in Spanish will make a significant difference.

So, for those that want actual fact, I'd encourage you to watch the presentation that got Dr. Malone banned. It is eye opening. And scary. And before anyone slams the source, just know that what they exposed was produced by Pfizer. Their own studies! It is fairly easily found. Produced by a group called the Canadian COVID Care Alliance.
Again, believe what you want to believe. But if you look at Pfizer's own study, which they expose, and you don't come away alarmed? Well, then you are exactly the person Pfizer is counting on.

1. No, he doesn't need to be heard. His initial report was fine. Everyone has an off day. However, he's repeated himself 4 or 5 times and each time the story changes. For example, his first report said the girl moved 5 feet and was hovering over his luggage. A later report he said he caught her red handed digging through his luggage. When stories keep changing it usually means they contain little or no truth.
2. Not many people claim Medellin is paradise. Dollar for dollar it's one of the best mongering values in the world. It also has options to fit almost any style. Whether you're spending $500 per day or $50 per day, it can be done in Medellin.
3. Way too many sex tourists? I'm lost on that one. You're a regular contributor on a forum which promotes sex tourism and you're complaining there are too many sex tourists in Medellin? The number of sex tourists only affects people who choose to let it affect them. I can easily spend weeks in Medellin and never see another sex tourist.
4. Too many drugs? Compared to where? How does that affect you? Over the about 15 months I've spent in Medellin, I've maybe been offered drugs 12 times. About half from guys trying to sell them and half from girls who wanted to smoke some weed. It's never been a problem for me to say no.
5. Cheap maybe? It's definitely cheap. I can stay in a very nice place, in a nice area for $25-$45 per night. I can eat 3 full meals a day for under $10. I can fuck a decent girl for $15. I can fuck an exceptional girl for $50. I can go from one end of the city to the other, and back for $1.50. And none of that involves any significant danger or very low end girls. Even airfare is reasonable, and I don't live close to a major air hub. Less than 8 hours, including layovers for about $600 without going with one of the budget airlines.
6. I find the climate to be excellent. Rarely do temperatures fall outside of the 60-85° range. Depending on personal preference and location, you can be quite comfortable without air conditioning. The tap water is drinkable, which is not the case in many other places. Air quality is not good, but clean fresh air is not far away and easy to get to.
7. There's no shortage of things to do in and around Medellin. History, art, culture, sightseeing, hiking, camping, boating, biking, hang gliding, kart racing, theaters (and theatres), concerts, the list goes on and on. The limits of the things to do is only limited by your imagination. If nothing appeals to you, you can always find a local who will happily talk to you, tell you about their city, their country and their lives.
If Medellin is an average destination, where are some superior destinations? In what way are they superior for the people who prefer Medellin?

People go to Parque Lleras to party. Women go to Parque Lleras to make money off of people who are partying. Taxi drivers go there for the same reason. If a girl spends a lot of time working Parque Lleras, she's going to get to know the taxistas, at least some of them are from the same neighborhood, they drive working girls around all the time. And many of the working girls who are traveling to Parque Lleras and Laureles for dates have a few taxi drivers or Uber drivers they regularly use. If you have girls who like to party, in an area where gringos like to party, why wouldn't a taxi driver try to make some money by selling some cheap weed at a grossly inflated price?
If the joints were spiked with something to knock you out (unlikely), he would have just given one to you, or her. Why worry about a few pesos, when you're going to be taking everything from someone?
The girl, I'm confused about her. Your first report you said when you came out of the bathroom she had moved 5 feet and was hovering over your luggage. Your second mention of her you said she tried to get into your luggage. Your next mention of her, you claimed she tried to steal your luggage. From there it became "she was trying to steal from my luggage like an animal. "But the incident continued to evolve and became "she was digging into my open luggage." I'm just speculating that if we give it another week, she will have hacked all of your accounts and stolen your identity.
To add to the confusion, you walked her to the street, took 2 seconds to secure the door and in that amount of time she vanished? However, you later speculated the taxi driver was waiting nearby and picked her up. I walk fast, but I can't imagine how I could walk far enough in 2 seconds to get far enough away where you couldn't hear a car, hear someone get into a car, or see a car drive away. She would have had to be moving at over 100 mph.
The only hotel in the area where you were staying, which doesn't have a 24 hour reception, to the best of my knowledge, is Hotel Habana Vieja. It sits on the west side and below Avenida Poblado and the reception is off of Calle 10 Sur. If you walk about 10 meters east of the entrance there's a offshoot from Avenida Poblado and a set of stairs leading up to Avenida Poblado. Any girl leaving would head either for the stairs, to cross Avenida Poblado, or head a block up the street to Hotel Porton where there are often taxis waiting. They wouldn't walk down Calle 10 Sur, because it's a longer walk to get to Avenida Las Vegas, where she's less likely to get a taxi.
There are common taxi scams that regularly happen in Medellin. What you experienced wasn't one of them.
Here's critical information about taxis:
1. If there's any possibility a girl you're taking with you is under 18, check her cedula before getting in the taxi. This avoids 2 potential problems. First, there's a risk the police will stop the taxi and you'll need to talk your way out of having her in the taxi with you. Second, if there is building security, you are wasting a trip if the girl doesn't have identification.
2. Always check the meter before you close the door. Make certain it's been reset. I believe the current minimum is 3600 pesos. That's not the minimum fare, just the starting point.
3. If you're leaving the Parque Lleras area, save yourself some trouble and walk down to Avenida Poblado. There will be a line of taxis waiting in front of Parque Poblado. Go to the first one in line. This gives you a more random taxi than one that's been circling around Lleras and it avoids all the twists and turns to get out of the area.
4. Close the door gently. Colombian drivers, taxi and Uber get upset when a gringo slams the door.
5. Use the smallest bills possible to pay the taxi. Most drivers don't want to give change for a 50 k bill. If they will give change, there's a chance of getting short changed, or of getting a counterfeit 10 k or 20 k bill.
6. Don't sweat over the small change. If the meter says 14750, hand over 15 k and thank the driver. If you're taking a couple of taxis every day, buying food and drinks, after a week you'll have a big pile of coins. You're literally giving away nickles and dimes.

For those of you who can't read (Students in the Elvis School of Analysis). Dr. Malone did do some preliminary research into mRNA and wrote a few papers. But those preliminary writings were over 30 years ago and the changes in mRNA research that led to the creation of the vaccines has had thousands of changes / refinements (maybe 10's of thousands) since then. Apparently despite having written about some ground-breaking theories he did little to develop them while others continued the research for years which ultimately led to the CoVid vaccines. Now of course, Dr. Malone's ego can't accept his minor role, so he has branded himself as the "inventor" of mRNA and everything that has been developed since then. All this makes him the perfect guest for the 'conspiracy theory' network of podcasts which Elvis relies so heavily on to support his own crackpot theories.

What I don't like is that it's too cold, too wet, too congested and too polluted. And for a reasonably large city, there are very few attractions. Not much you can do about that, apart from wait for Thailand to open. Hehe.

Posts: 3222Banned by youtube and Twitter of course
This is a long listen or watch but this was the best Covid explanation I have ever heard. Dr. Robert Malone actually invented the mRNA vaccine and was banned from Twitter. This interview was then on youtube and then banned. It is amazing how these assholes making the vaccine cannot even stand that anyone, even the guy who invented the technology the vaccines are based on, talks the truth about them.
For the record, this doctor has had Covid and been vaxxed. It is long but the time flew by when I watched it. I hope you all like it as much as I did:https://open.spotify.com/episode/3SCsueX2bZdbEzRtKOCEyT.

Everyone, if they do anything long enough, is going to have a bad experience, and everyone is eventually going to make a bad situation worse by making a mistake. There's a simple way to handle it.
1. Realize that not everything is going to be perfect. Sometimes, regardless of your experience, your preparation and everything you do, you'll end up with an unsatisfying evening.
2. Accept that there were things you could have done to avoid, or limit how bad the experience was.
3. Learn from the experience and share what you learned, instead of blaming everyone in Colombia for one bad experience.
4. Alternatively, accept that Colombia is not a good match for you, turn your back and forget it exists.
Your speculation the girl and taxi driver planned to drug and rob you using joints laced with something is extremely far-fetched. Don't you think you would have figured something was up when the girl wouldn't smoke with you and avoided breathing any of the smoke? Besides, why mess with that? All it would have taken was the driver pulling a gun or knife.
Getting an Uber out of Parque Lleras at night can be difficult. Every night hundreds of people take a taxi from Parque Lleras without being robbed, killed or anything else. Waiting around for 30-60 minutes for a Uber might not work for everyone. There's no need to try and panic people for some imagined threat.
However, there are taxi scams people should be aware of.
I believe the current starting price on the taxi meter is 3600 pesos. Especially around Parque Lleras at night, drivers won't reset the meter. The first thing you should do is check the meter and if it hasn't been reset, point it out.
Some drivers have a means to bump up the meter. Pay attention. Some meters also go up at a faster rate. In either case, there's not much you can do, other than get out as soon as possible. If you're taking the same trip regularly, remember what you paid. The best thing you can do is pay attention.
