Ah yes, the home is the place where you are at the highest risk of getting infected, when other members of the household are constantly out and coming in contact with infected people. You forgot to add that part and it's kind of the most important part.

You see, if everyone stays home, limiting themselves to only essential trips, wearing masks, practicing social distancing and washing and sanitizing hands frequently, then the home is relatively safe, especially if all the occupants are vaccinated.

However, when members of the household are taking no precautions, aren't vaccinated and are frequently around people who also refuse to take precautions or get vaccinated, then the risk of being infected at home goes up exponentially.

Here's the situation at my home:

I share a 2000 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, ranch style house with one of my brothers. Obviously we each have our own bedroom and bathroom. On a typical week I arrive home late Saturday night, after my brother is asleep, with his bedroom door closed. My bedroom door is also closed all night. Before 7 am my brother leaves the house for church, while I'm still asleep. Even if my door was open, he passes at least 10 feet away. After church he has 2 side jobs he does and then usually works on someone's car until 6 or 7 pm. When he returns home, if he doesn't go directly to bed he'll sit in the living room, 12 feet away from me, for seldom more than a hour. He passes briefly close to me a few times, one day a week. On Monday morning he leaves for work before I wake up and I usually leave for work before he gets home. I don't return home again until Saturday night, after he is asleep.

In addition, I've been vaccinated. During the week, I'm rarely around anyone and I am almost always wearing a mask. My brother works with the public, most of whom refuse to wear a mask or get vaccinated, the same as him, and his customers, like him scoff at the effectiveness of social distancing.

There was a time last year, when I came home much earlier than normal and found he had guests at the house. I kept on driving and told him to call me after they left, because I refused to expose myself to the additional risk.

On the weekend when he was sick, I just happened to get home early Saturday afternoon, something that occurs about twice a year. He had gotten sick on Thursday and was sick enough he left work early and took Friday and Saturday off. However, he didn't bother to get a Covid test, or to inform me he was sick, until I arrived. Because he was sick, he was home most of the day Sunday and because for once my schedule didn't get screwed up, I was home much longer than usual.

Had he been taking the same precautions I take, had he gotten tested, had he gotten vaccinated when he first was eligible, I wouldn't have become infected. Had we both kept our normal schedule that weekend, I probably wouldn't have become infected. Had he informed me he was sick and his symptoms, I wouldn't have come home that weekend.

In what demented dream did you imagine that I think you or anyone else should do everything the way I do it? I share information relevant to what other people post. It has nothing to do with me when I mentioned that 22 prepagos sent me messages in one day. They get paid for sex. I pay for sex.
