It depends to some extent on the knife and the baton, but most of the knives I've seen these douche bags carry, I'd take my chances with a baton. I've been around El Cento day and night for over a week and haven't had any problems. The entire place is deserted on Sunday, and I've had no problems thus far. In the meantime, I reserve rooms at Hotel Alcazar or Hotel Conquistadores to rest.
