So as my trip is approaching I was wondering, on average, how much do you spend in a week in medellin, excluding room costs, flights. I'm talking just food, dinner dates, drinks, taxi / Uber, Tourist activities & sex. I'm curious to know from the budget kings as well.

That's an incredibly open question. I never budget (unless I face a huge upcoming cost), but I know I usually spend about 1. 5 million per week.

There is a reason for all the new high rises under construction. The strip on La Setenta used to be two blocks long. Now, it runs all the way to the Circular 1. You didn't know that? WHAT happend? Use to be I could get a great monhtly for 500-700 now its like 1200 for something in the same area.

This sub-forum is supposed to be about Stupid Stuff in Medellin. Example 1) This restaurant I know that leaves their condiments out at night and do not put in the refrigerator at night or ever. Example 2) I told a street girl that is she comes to Botero tomorrow that I wanted to be with her again. She asked for taxi money.

But instead guys write novels about why the other guy is stupid and we should all care for some reason. This has nothing to do with Medellin or what happens in Medellin.

I have never see so many guys trying to beat the hell out of a dead horse over and over and over again. Then do it again weeks or months later. The only positive thing I can say is at least you guys are not quitters.

It has apartments as well as hotels. How much it costs depends on size, quality, location, etc. , just like any real estate anywhere in the world. Just go on there and have a look for yourself.

I would think the price for that area has increased significantly. Even San Peter has increased by a large percentage. Some hosts are not making good financial decision because I looked at some that I have stayed were available but with much higher prices. Some areas like they have an union that all priced similarly but mostly vacant. It's like some chicks sitting at home all week waiting for a 300 customer, instead of having a 200 customer each day when they can make more money.
