I believe the owner of Club Ipanema also owned the club the Underground and I made a trip there on a Sunday afternoon and it was full of off duty Domestics. Does anyone know if the normal nightly crowd of working girls have shifted down to the Underground from Ipanema with the demise of OT?

Looks as if Covid has hastened the inevitable, with reports that OT is set to be sold 'en bloc' for SGD1. 6 bn, no doubt to be replaced by a high-rise of luxury condos. You have to wonder if there's anywhere else in modern Singapore that could become the new home for the likes of Crazy Horse, Ipanema etc, not just as one club here and one club there but a collection of clubs in the one location. I think the era which OT represented may be gone for good.

With VTLs open I am seeing a trickle of girl sfrom Vietnam and Thailand coming in again. Prices are much higher (170 SGD vs 90 SGD) for one shot with a Thai girl but at least the girls are cute and young. Also another operation bringing in a lot of Viets but at 300 SGD and up for a shot. Similar to old OT girls. As travel opens up more things will start to improve here in Singapore. Corresponding some local girls pricing has started to come down to earth (300 to 400 SGD) although a few are still trying (and getting) as much as 1200 SGD / HR.

Government really took advantage during the pandemic. Everything is slowly being transformed and removed, even the red-light districts, Geylang and little India Farrer Park are being killed slowly. The only surviving place is Changi Village which is filled with transgenders anyways.

Its a very bold move I have to say though, for a liberal country to act this way. Aren't they afraid of sexual repression?? I mean I understand that Batam is only 45 minutes ferry ride but still. Why?

The smart investory would look for a place like Far East or Lucky Plaza or some other midrange place headed in a downward spin, and do a few modifications and replace the concept of OT. The trick would be to take a loss in the beginning, charge low rents and base future rents on business sales / profit. Get the crowd going there, build a rep and then charge high. Now if I can win the USA Powerball lottery I might just do that!

OT is in a prime location and, if not mistaken, it is a freehold and hence that premium. But still, at this price it is crazy high.

My friend passed through the area recently and told me that it was dead. Yeah, it's only a matter of time. I am going to miss Ipanema and all those Viet girls. I was always able to find a good one whenever I was there. Anyway, there will be always be another new place in the city where all these Viet girls and Pinays can congregate in the future.

OK, you can get service in the HDB massage places. You have to look for the ones that are either upstairs or with blacked glass. They're definitely not well advertised.

However, at least the one I tried was not staffed with SYT; more like old aunties servicing a bunch of old uncles. Most unappealing, at least in Toa Payoh. Don't waste your time.

Lurkers, I recently saw a timeline story on WhatsApp from an Indonesian domestic there in Singapore who was showing herself walking about in OT last Sunday. I asked her if it was back open and she stated yes it was some of the places were. I'm thinking she was going to the place (not sure of the name) that mostly the Indonesian women went to on the same floor as Ipanema. Can anyone on the ground there verify it OT still up and running in a limited capacity?
