Be cautious. Bandung in West Java is known for having numerous religious fanatics who frequently conduct raids. Recently, the police have also been carrying out similar operations.

I happened to see this handle in the Medellin thread and wondered if it is the same XXL I met years ago in Jakarta. So I did a search and ended up in this thread I didn"t know exists.

Best Reports - XXL's. They were few and far between compared to some of the Jakarta regulars. But he gave people like me a vicarious thrill with his adventures in huge north Jakarta night clubs, teeming with Javanese poontang. I was always in Jakarta on business and so not inclined to keep late hours. And don't live life on the edge like he does. But his reports were always a great read. He could have strung some Jakarta experiences together and come up with a book that would rival anything Hunter S. Thompson wrote.

Met a girl on the train up from Jakarta, she was married to a Brit aircraft guy at IPTN, straight to my hotel and 3 hours of banging before she went home. Stayed in touch and caught up for months. Best Brothel / Bar - Tiara Ciera, or something like that, in a shopping mall just off of Jalan Mangga Besar. Back in 1998, when the Rupiah was extremely weak, you could spend time with a gorgeous hottie for less than 10 USD.

Best Woman - Dia in Maribaya, the 6th floor brothel and bar in Hotel Melawai in the Block M area. She had it all -- a "10" in looks, personality and performance.

I lived and luved in Jakarta for 9 wonderful months in 1989. What a great time, especially when your only 30 why / o. The only drawback was the terrible time wasted in traffic. And Bali was idillic back in the day, it changed so much after the 2002 bombing.

I haven't returned since the pandemic.
