Was reading about this Covid Cert. Since I'm coming from the US, I only have the paper CDC card. Read that there is a Transition Period thru Oct. 10 where (as I understand it) establishments will still accept my US vax card. I hope that is the case. Bottom line, if you are an American visiting Switzerland, all you need to enter bars, restaurants, and museums is your CDC card and passport from now until October 24. Note that many of the comments on the TripAdvisor forum that I just mentioned are from people actually living in Switzerland.

The official rules state that you need the certificate. I don't know how flexible they are how they apply this. Maybe it's worth calling them on their number in the contact section of the website for this specific question.
