I mean you really feel it, and it hurts placing a strain on the finances. It isn't that I'm not doing it "right". I travel how I like to travel according to what suits me and my tastes. I don't like staying in apartments. I like staying in a decent hotel. That costs more in Switzerland. I remember I had a standard meal that was nothing fancy really that cost over $60.00. A 15 minute cab ride cost me $50.00! And that does raise one thing I could do differently, regardless of where I travel, which is to use Uber more to save money (the train system for getting around Germany is great). But that said, I'm a person who places high value on convenience (I'm price sensitive but not a "budget" traveler). I'm not going to go through a lot of extra rigmarole just to save a few bucks. For example, if I want to go to Zurich, I'm not going to fly into Frankfurt (or some other place) first, then travel on to Zurich because that might save a little money. I'm not that cash strapped and won't put up with the hassle of that. No, if I want to go to Zurich, then I'm flying into Zurich!

Now, one enduring argument that mongers have used forever is that the higher cost of Switzerland is justified by a consistent level of quality performance from the girls. Well, I don't know about anybody else, but I'm here to say that I have an excellent record of receiving outstanding service in Germany. It's just not been an issue for me, and I hope it never will be. Agree with this. I totally get the allure of Frankfurt with multiple large clubs but you better be experienced monger so you can navigate all the pitfalls that come with it. On the other hand Swiss clubs have decent minimum service levels so your chances of being scammed go drastically down.

Also, I don't see many people mention this but there is far more things to do in Switzerland than it is in Germany. Especially if you like outdoors. And who doesn't. I personally think that most folks are doing this wrong. If you are flying in, especially from USA, this should be 10+ day vacation where you mix all sorts of things in it.

That's just it! As an international traveler, I need to factor in a whole host of cost factors besides just what I need to pay the tutes. Things like ground transportation, lodging, food & drink, etc. And no question that all of these kind of expenses are sky high in Switzerland. Much more than in Germany. Indeed, so far Zurich is the most expensive city in the world I have ever visited. For me, adding it all up, Germany still remains the better deal. Overall it's less expensive for me to visit Germany versus Switzerland as a tourist, and I've never had a problem finding quality providers in Germany who deliver good service. In Europe "der fatherland" still rules all the way!
