I think it would be more productive for this forum if, rather than saying "It matters" followed by snarky comments of disdain and disgust, to finally tell us WHY it matters and WHY it makes you cringe and WHY you feel it is any business of yours.

I have said a number of times that there are three big unalterable things than can ruin this relationship I have / had; those being cultural differences, language problems and age. But you do not know Secret or her reasons for carrying on with me. You may think you know, but you barely have a clue. All you know is what I have written here, colored by your own obvious prejudices and biases, yet you dare to tell me that our relationship has caused you to cringe and compel you to resort to personal attacks and insults.

So you're happy for people to tell you how wonderful your "relationship" is but you throw a little hissy fit when they tell you something you don't want to hear?

If you think it's nobody else's business why on earth are you spending weeks (months?) relaying this long, tedious tale of yours on a public forum?

Your recollection is incorrect. But I ask, why do you continue to make age an issue when it is no one's concern but Secret's and my own? Feel free to point out the risk factors, of course, as that is part of the story. But snarky comments based on conjecture and preconceived images would not seem helpful.

Well the OP can play it anyway he wants. If he wants to play the part of the conned, taken for a ride boyfriend that is fine with me. What I objected to and found distasteful in his storytelling was the way he continually assumed the readers were as nave as he was. That we did not see the end coming from the very beginning. That is why I only lightly skimmed his subsequent chapters.

This tale should stand as another example in a long list of examples of how not to act with P4P girls and what not to put up with. Again, a punter can do what he wants, but when he starts believing the GFE fantasy is real and allows himself to fall for the con, whatever form the con takes, he inadvertently sets into motion the end of that very relationship that he sought to hold onto.

Perhaps the US should grant these young activists asylum until their safety and constitutional rights can be assured.

Our society can always benefit from smart, strong, courageous people with forward vision. We are all neighbors in this small world, and we want to give young people proper protection for their rights and their safety, even if they are precocious.

Perhaps their families and associates should contact the embassies of US, UK, France, Australia, Singapore ect for possible assistance.

It seems most have decided to cash in on that insurance at middle age these days. Chick has a mom that is 40 talking about how guilty she feels because she has to help such and such. They don't get a chance to grow and develop because they are saddled with so much responsibility at a young age.

With the birth rate declining as much as it has for the past couple of decades, now there are only 1 or 2 adult kids to take care of the same number of parents, grandparents, drunk uncles, old maid aunts and so on as before, no longer 5-6 adult kids to do it.

That charismatic doctor who pushed for more widespread condom use supposedly in order to reduce poverty brought on by Thai families having so many kids should have used his charisma to push for a universal Social Security type retirement program for Thailand instead.

Like so many countries Thailand has families that move to the Western model while many families still adhere to the old model. That will give friction. The answers are difficult and a clear cut answer is not available. To make things clearer on the medic part, I will give the rationale for many children. Not just a workforce on the farm but also necessary for your pension. So you need at least two children because half of the children die. You need double that amount because half will be women and move to the other family (or vice versa). You need double that amount because only half of them will manage to get a job. So to have one child paying for your pension you need 8 children. Or better you needed 8 children. Because not half of the children dies any longer anymore. You don't need to double if the country is not grappling with subsistence. You don't need to double if the wife can work and doesn't need to raise so many children. So, of course a doctor will advise condoms and try to bring the number of children down. And he is right about that. The problem however is the transition to another culture in two ways. First within the families: the daughter is not going to help her family anymore in such a demanding way. For example Romanian and Bulgarian girls turn back to their countries way before they reach the age of 30. Polish and Hungarians already are hard to find. The second is within the country or even county. One family still follows the old model. Another follows the more individual model. In Europe for example this is true for immigrants especially from Morocco. That gives tensions and one result is that the Moroccan community in the Netherlands now is an endless source for criminal talent, because they have problems to fit in our dominant culture. I can elaborate on that but won't. If interested try to find Constructivism on the net. I think that with the advance of medicines that there is no way back to the old model. Nobody will withhold medicine from their children of just accept that there is no job for them if not necessary. So there's too many children in this situation and that will create poverty. Well, the picture is more complicated than this (for example education and development of the economy play a role) but in this topic I won't elaborate on that too much. The bottomline is that Thailand is a part of the world economy and cannot isolate itself. So they have to go along with the developments in the world. Somehow the government of Thailand will have to step in with care for the old aged etcetera and move to a more individual model with a strong state. That will diminish the possibilities for mongering. But that is still a long way to go. Cheap mongering is already from the menu.
