I have never heard 222, however, back in the early 2000's, the girls used to say 333 about the Japanese customers meaning 3 inches for 3 minutes for 3000 baht. Thais understand this implicitly, and understand that a simple smiling request is actually a command. Me, I'm an fat old git, but I'm not stupid so I know that what he wants is fine with me. I never have to worry about things.

Honoring a friends request is admirable and totally understandable. I am aware there are some back street spots in the Pratunam area that for whatever nefarious reason owners prefer are kept under the radar and are almost exclusively visited by Thais. Perhaps this explains your friends reluctance.

Something created for one thing can be used with another meaning as an inside joke. We all have to admit, nobody here knows exactly what the girl is thinking.
