My favorite, almost anything goes, bars are Bottoms Bar in Makati, Malio Club in Jakarta, and CH & Twister in BKK in that order. Note: these bars also have the critical prerequisite: they each have a good selection of sexy girls.

These bars are also at the higher end of town, cost wise. If I'm spending $20 on a 30 minute ST, that's not a lot to lose on a poor selection. The risk of loosing $400 and a whole night makes more time and money spent on the selection process justifiable in my eyes.

I'd agree that the selection period doesnt need to be onerous and can be a fun night in itself. 😁

In my last post I outlined the utilitarian reason why I spend a good deal of pre-barfine time in Go Go's and FL pickup bars buying attractive working girls drinks and that was to screen out low performers and possible duds. But I left out the most important reason which is that I enjoy engaging in a little hanky panky in bars especially with potential NEW girls of my choosing. Perhaps it is a direct link to my misbegotten youth when my friends and I used to down a few ludes and head out to a favorite bar to party & pick up regular girls. I used to do a lot of wild stuff back in the day. Nowadays, I still enjoy asking a dancer over to my table, offering her a drink, moving to a back booth to play around with her and sometimes simultaneously with a couple of her friends. The goal is always to find a suitable barfine for the night, but who says you can't have a whole lot of fun along the way.

Now every bar has a slightly different bar culture. Some Go Go's and pick up bars are more conducive to fooling around with the girls than other bars. For example, Crazy Horse, Twister and Billboard are very hanky panky pro while Baccara and RB4 are not. So, I end up spending more time, buying more Tequila rounds, and partying around more in bars like CH and Twister than say Baccara or RB4. I still barfine girls out of the later 2 bars, but it is much quicker enter, select, decide and exit foray. Point of fact, I do not recall ever kissing a girl on ground floor Baccara, yet despite that, I still bafine from there ocasionally because I like some of their girls.

Natty's rather hit it on the head. Guys want different things from the experience. There are really three parts to the experience:

1) The club.

2) The girlfriend.

3) The sex.

Some guys are pretty transactional and just want sex with a pretty girl. Nothing wrong with that! So that is number 3 — and frankly the easiest to get. Most any format can lead here, whether escort incall / outcall, gogo, massage, Clinica, brothel, bar or what have you. Find pretty girl, have sex, pay. Easy.

Getting number 2 is a real challenge and strongly related to number 1. And when I say "girlfriend", I mean the connection part where, for whatever reason it "feels like" you both want to be there and are into each other. This is related to 1 because it is very hard to establish this with massage / Clinica, brothel lineup or incall / outcal for that matter. And for some of us (me!) this is the most important part. The experience is 10 x better when it feels more than physical.

Finally the club / format. Bars, Gogos, Boates, and even FKK to some extent provide two important parts of the experience. First, you preview the "girlfriend" part more extensively. While you can never be 100% sure in-venue chemistry translates to in-room chemistry, you can be 100% sure that if there is little / none it is not going to get better!

Secondly, the bar / gogo / FKK is a "king of the world" experience. There are 50 girls here, mostly naked or at least sexily dressed and they all want to go to the room with me! It's a candy store. Who doesn't love this part? I sure as heck do. First time I went to an FKK I about came in my shorts just from the club experience itself. Surely it can't be legal! Yet it is.

So it all depends how much each of us values parts 1, 2, and 3. For me, all three are critical and so I love the gogo / bar / Boate format best (Most FKKs now are really short on connection-time — still love them anyhow.).

Yes, you can always cut to the chase in a Go Go or bar. The direct method works in most cases, ie you can have the girl you want unless she is already spoken for, but I prefer to take advangage of the Go Go & FL bar set up which encourages the customer to invite a girl over for a drink and have a little audition before making the decision to take her or not. A girl's serxy appearance is absolutely necessary. I don't enjoy shagging unattractive girls. Who does? But good looks alone is not sufficient. I seek out friendly girls who want to show me a good time and in the proces have a pretty good time themselves. In bordellos, which I frequent a lot in BKK, Jakarta, Gelang, and Macau, the customer doesn't usually have the benefit of an audition, a get to know her time, so he must rely on a girl's body language, facial expressons, and the reputation of the house. Some bordellos like the former Lord (BKK), Emporium Hotel (Jakarta), and Rio Sauna (Macau) have excellent reputations and their girls are trained and managed quite well, but other bordellos not so much and service in these latter places can vary widely depending on the girl. In the end everybody must choose the method that works best for them. We all are looking to have the best time we can given our individual preferences and tastes in girls and our various personal and financial contraints.

This is a weird question to me. Can you walk into Hertz and rent a car? Can you go into McDonald's and buy a burger? These are hores we are talking about here. To a certain extent I agree with you. However some of us (at least myself), need to spend a bit of time with the girl to work out if she really appeals to me, or if likely she will be a disaster. Rushed decisions are likely to be wrong. In one bar Crazy House, I rarely BFed a girl the first time I met her, and I was that wary. Some stunners were exceptions and I acted much quicker.

Not exactly going to happen if go straight up and suggest a fuck, I think. My first Billboard girl, I fluked it, as she was so warm and so pretty as well, still it took a little bit of time in the bar for her to become so lovey dovey (maybe alcohol loosened her up a bit too) and for me to know she would be great. She did not last long there as a hooker, got a BF (sponser I presume) real quick.

When a girl in Twisters did not want to go with me, scared of Farang dick, etc., I had learned my lesson and just had to accept it. Using the direct approach with 10's has never been terribly successful for me elsewhere so I'm keen to hear others' experience in LOS.

LOL. I have never gotten that. Well that is a lie; actually I have. I used to go to the hooker spot in Rio with a suit and crocodile shoes on. Soon I was in shorts and flip flops telling the doorman to let me in because I am a regular.

I don't think he ever bragged about this. In my opinion, he is quite humble about it. Maybe that is why he is contantly talking about "game".
