I experienced Songkran only once in Pattaya. And it was a total disaster. Almost all people seemed to lose respect and they used water violence to people who didn't want to play with water. The worst thing I witnessed was when we waited a baht-bus drive, a bunch of vandals throw water with all their aggressions

It is all a matter of perspective. It is not water violence. It is washing away your bad luck. They are trying to help you, not violate or disrespect you. Kind of like how Westerners circumcise babies. To the outsiders it appears barbaric and insane, but they have reasons which seem pretty darn good to them.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If someone does not approve of a certain venue they should goto the venue they like and report on it. Curious how the individual that comment on the reports of others the most posts the fewest reports on their own activities and how much they are paying for them.

Where would 90% of Beach Road girls fit in other countries with street prostitution? I think they would be found doing tricks in bushes outside of town or underneath motorway interchange bridges. The infamous Jakarta railroad tracks come to mind.

Now it was a long time I hadn't as much as walked along Beach Road after 8 pm. I did so shortly before Songkran and was at first surprised to see a handful of doable girls. My surprise must have had to do with Soi 6 having gone down in the meantime though.

Soi 6 in early to mid-afternoon had always be my reference (I have no idea of Soi 6 after dark). The quality of Soi 6 in early to mid-afternoon having gone down, Beach Road struck me as not to be written off entirely.

Note that the doable girls on Beach Road seemed to have taken a cue from Soi 6's best-looking girls. They turned their back and/or stayed with their nose glued to their smartphones in order to signal unavailability and underscore their own-perceived immense worth.

I appreciate reports like the one above that offer insights in their their impressions of things happening in the real world.

I have never said the girls on Beach Road are the most attractive in Thailand or even Pattaya. If you do not think the prostitutes on Beach Road are attractive, it is easy enough for you to stay off of it.

But I have a question for all of my critics. Where are your reports about where you are hiring your prostitutes and the prices your are paying for them?

SOI 6 could be so much fun if the girls would simple just relax and not have 7+ girls jump in front of you blocking your path every time you walk down the street. When I goto Soi 6 and know exactly what I am going to encounter. If you want a different experience, try something different. Pattaya has:
