I never visit Thailand without a trip to Hua Hin. I noticed last time a lot more girls are drink only but I found a cute under 30 girl for LT and she was fine. Hua Hin is more laid back than Pattaya or Bangkok with a much smaller mongering scene. If you are looking for multiple short times every day then Hua Hin is not for you. Also the number of young spinners is very limited to non-existent. Still if you are patient you can have a good time. Most of the lookers I have seen in Hua Hin were brought in by a boyfriend. I enjoy the laid back atmosphere and as I have stated before a six with enthusiasm is a ten to me.

Yeah, it sure is! There's a really great atmosphere around the place. I was surprised at the level of English spoken by the girls in and around Sam Sam's. Almost word perfect in some instances.

A few girls led us to a Thai club in the covered area and we had a great night. The ratio was firmly in favour of Thai men (as opposed to westerners) but likewise I never felt out of place and some were actively striking up a conversation with me!

Wow, I never read about any concerns with Soi 80 before visiting but I am unlikely to ever return. In hindsight, there were probably a few more borderline but, as I wasn't looking to hook up, I didn't give it any thought at the time.

If ID cards are mandatory for Thai nationals, there should be no reason for a girl not to present it. Within reason..

ID cards on Thai girls are never a guarantee either, and I only ever consider them as a due diligence excuse, sort of like you say.

What many visitors / tourists don't understand is how easy it is for a Thai girl to replace a lost ID card, as in one given away to a younger friend.

The photos of the older cards are invariably as school girl looks, from a few years back, and the girl holding it now, when all made up and older, doesn't look anything like the photo.

Plus the names are of no use as well, as the Thai names bare no resemblance to their (nick) names in the bar.

Sometimes the height is even wrong, and they have said they have had a growth spurt to explain them now taller.

If in doubt, walk out.

Or accept the risk that you checked a card, or photo, and it looked legit to the extent you could verify it, and then partake on the premises, don't do a take out.

When I am still uncertain, but have agreed to proceed as a "dine in" option, I've always tried to get a photo of the card on my phone.

If that is refused, then I say "nahhh, too risky", turn and leave.

I also aim after session to get social media, LINE, mainly, and it should come as no surprise, that after that I have found true ages.

Even having had some later post their 18th birthday celebration photos, and one sadly her 18th some 20 months later.

Which brings up another point to be aware of.

Definitely in Isaan, and maybe more broadly, children are stated as one year old at birth.

So when they have had their 6th birthday in western age counting, they will say they are 7.

Extrapolate that to their 17th birthday and they now consider themselves to be 18, and will say as much.

Sam Sam is good from after 10 pm until it closes, around 2 am, then I've found Polo Club to be great as the freelancer hub.

It's also where the bar girls from bintabhat and Soi 80 usually head when their bars close.

Tho there is now a new one there as well, a Thai style nightclub.

It has no problems letting farang into it as well, and I didn't feel out of place at all.

There were lots of nice younger ladies in there in groups, mostly with Thai men hanging around them.

So this time I just looked, drank, chatted when I could, but as it was my first time, I didn't try to pick up or procure.

Also, it was a wise move asking for ID on Soi 80, as I've found many times the new younger girls there can be under 18.

Even as low as 16 I have encountered there, with the bar mamasan giving a wink, a shhhh, and saying upstairs is OK.

These bars are "family oriented", such that the young girls are being looked after, but they are also definitely being actively eased into the game.

If you're worried, it's a scene to avoid, shop elsewhere bintabhat and Soi 94, as I never encountered underage in those bars.

I spent my first night on Soi Bintabaht. The usual bright lights and loud music blaring. Loads of beautiful girls on offer. I worked my way down playing a few games of pool and drinking along the way. I took a girl back in the early hours for 2 k LT.

I wasn't blown away by the talent on Soi 80 but met up with another English guy and hit a few bars. This area is more dimly lit than Bintabaht but lively enough. An extremely pretty girl appeared in the final bar that we visited. It wasn't clear if she was working but one of the older bar girls was doing her best to hook us up. The girl was very shy and spoke very limited English. I said to the older bargirl that I wanted to see her ID if I was to barfine as I wasn't 100% that she was over 18. The older bargirl (who was very drunk at this point) claimed that it wasn't necessary to see her ID as I was staying in an Air BnB! I went with my gut feeling and left empty handed. If you have any concerns you have to be prepared to walk away regardless of how pretty the girl is!

The MP's are scattered across Dechanuchit Alley, Poon Suk Road and Selakam Road. I had multiple sessions across 10 or so days and only saw the same girl twice. There are definitely a few gems to be found. I paid from 1200 - 1800. The sessions were "all in" and not rushed. The girls were eager to please and very pleasant. On a couple of my hangover days they certainly went the extra mile!

One of the best sessions was actually the cheapest. She was an absolute stunner located in the first MP on Dechanuchit Alley as you exit Poon Suk Road. She was early 20's and could easily ply her trade in one of the bars. Another was a cute 20-something, she was no taller than 5 ft with braces. She wad located at the top end of Poon Suk Road and I stalked the area a few times but couldn't find her for a second (or third) helping!

Another place of interest is Sam Sam Bar. This is packed full of girls and some pretty ladyboys, if that's your thing! We had several great nights in the bar then moved onto the covered area which is a mix of Thai nightclubs and normal bars with YouTube etc for music. We left the covered area in daylight on at least two occasions.
