Well, since this thread is about stupid shit in Tijuana, I'm going to write about the stupidest shit I've seen in Tijuana. The stupidest shit I've ever seen is this old-ass monger in the zona toting around a bag of garbage that he refers to as "regalos" (gifts.) I've seen him a few times, the last being in the&G a while back. He's so proud of his sack of junk for some reason. Like Dollar Store cheap garbage. He's so senile he thinks that the putas appreciate the cheap-ass flip-flops, hair ties and whatever garbage he picks up off the street. They tell me that he gets all excited as he's introducing his "regalos" as if he's doing the putas a big favor. He doesn't realize that they all laugh at him, calling him a "codo pendejo" (cheap idiot) carrying "su bolsa de basura" (his bag of garbage.) They pretend to be interested in his junk because they feel sorry for him but as soon as he turns around and leaves they start laughing and toss his regalo in the trash. One of the putas openly questioned the quality of the mental health facilities in the USA After an episode with this loser. Getting laughed at by Tijuana putas. Wow, can you get any more pathetic?

The speaker is called a back float. It is made by Monster. Completely waterproof and light. In Canada it is sold thru The Source (Canadian version of radio shack). I Bluetooth sleep sounds on youtube. Internet is strong at Cascadas so it will stream all night. Lots of personal speakers out there, I chose this one for sound quality and size.

Dcrist has good common sense and has the gift to explain it in concrete, easy-to-understand ways. He would make a very good therapist, counselor, teacher, coach.

There are a few guys in this forum who are dumb enough to always claim "my dick is bigger than yours," and spend all their lives, pouring their guts out trying to prove it hehe. Also a few stupid, mean, nasty, uneducated, shit-brained guys who would pick nits, accuse others without proof and attack without justification, trying to puff up their bellies. This thread is not amusing, it's nasty and repulsive, shoving the nastiest, stinkiest shit on earth into our faces.

Guys should focus on the main mission of exchanging helpful information about hot sex with girls, contribute positively and the bros will appreciate them for what they do.

While this thread is amusing, I've got to ask what reward you get from claiming to know more than the next guy? I'm not speaking to anyone directly. But of the dozens of posts here, most sound something like 'You are wrong. You are a liar. I know more than you. ' All of which may be true but clearly there is a lot of energy and emotion spent here.

Four things I do know for certain:

1. YMMV. Your experience may not match the next guys. That doesn't mean he is lying or you are lying.

2. In the same vein, everything is negotiable in Tijuana. Meaning rules are not worth the paper they are written on. So while you may spend more money or time at your favorite club than anyone else, keep in mind that rules are quite flexible.

3. Usually, the guy having to tell you how much he knows and how smart he is, isn't. What exactly is the reward for knowing the most out of ficha rules?

4. Lastly, in the end, you word is all you have. When you make claims that contradict each other, where you live, where you are, or your imagined experiences that make you all knowing about all of Mexican culture, you are only fooling yourself. If you feel the need to create an online persona to make your life interesting, well, good job. Just know you are fooling no one.

As I said, this thread has merit. It is oddly comical. But just a reality check. All of the knowledge you have or don't have doesn't make you a better person. We're all chasing the same thing. Most of us have real experiences to share and that's where you add value.

I have not an issue with the cops nor people in about 19 years walking to the Zona Norte. I'm not remotely close to 6 feet tall, nor built like a lineman. I never carried, open nor concealed. I never carried a game face growl. I never carried a knife nor mace. I have walked from the Arc to HK after dark. I have walked back to the Arc area to buy Viagra numerous times after dark. My situational awareness is medium, because this isn't Afghanistan.

The only rule I use is to walk where I see a lot of people, day or night. That rule alone have served me well. Good luck to all.

Everytime I stay at Cascadas, I walk revolution and constitution everyday during the daytime. Maybe I have been very lucky but during the day, the streets are busy with families, workers, and tourists.

You are also going to be walking past several police plus the vehicle patrols. Weekends are very fun with many craft sellers and the stage also has live local music.

We have to be careful and have your wits about you but if you hide, you are really missing a lot of Tijuana.

I practice the same safe rules I would in any large city. I really am more nervous in Toronto than Tijuana but again maybe I have a horseshoe up my butt.

Every visit I walk up and down Revolucion and Constitution every day, at least three times a day during daylight hours. Never had any issues there. As SR said, families are everywhere. At night, I will often walk from the Arch to Ticuan (8th street). I really enjoy that and have never felt unsafe. I stay aware but never anything remotely suspicuous. In a week's visit, I easily make that walk over 20 times. Enough to where the vendors remember me visit after visit. Plaza Santa Cecilia, which is basically under the arch and runs to the west can be fun, in a non-mongering sense. And no one will mistake me for a Mexican. Something could happen when I walk there next time. But I don't think it's any more likely than something happening to me in any big US city. Don't be Clark Griswald. Don't lose control of your faculties. And don't let the fear mongers on this board scare you.

I would not, however, recommend walking from the arch to HK once dark hits. I've done it and there is certainly an elevated level of danger. Likewise, walking east of Piri pharmacy isn't fun either, especially after dark. I did have an incident there. Or, a close call, I should say. So I avoid those areas after dark. But Revolucion and Constituion between 1st and 8th are fine, in my opinion.

A searingly simple request came from one of the Mexican Marines who were invited to visit New York after they captured El Chapo.

"Do you mind if we walk around for a while?" one of the Marines asked a senior USA Federal agent who was hosting them. "I can never do this in my own county. ".

The host agreed, and the 15 or so Marines ambled through the streets of Manhattan in peace and safety none of them could enjoy back home.

For to be a Marine in Mexico is to be marked for death as a member of the most incorruptible, resolute and courageous force opposing the cartels.

Further proof of that came just two weeks after their New York City stroll, when one of these same Marines became the latest to die in the Mexican drug war.

His comrades had to guard against what happened after the funeral for another Marine just before Christmas in 2009. That fallen comrade's family had just returned from the burial when cartel gunmen burst in and shot them all.

As El Chapo's trial neared in New York, the Marines back in Mexico pressed on against the cartels, with his old partner, Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada, as a prime target. Two more Marines were killed when they were off-duty and just walking around the resort town of Cozumel in September.

The El Chapo trial commenced in November, with testimony detailing millions in bribes paid at seemingly all levels of government as well as every branch of law enforcement and the military save for the Marines. A firefight claimed the life of yet another Marine in December, as Mexico was concluding a year in which murders had risen by a third, from 25,036 in 2017 to 33,341 in 2018.

At the end of January, an already harrowing existence took what must have been a wrenching turn for the Marines. Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador summarily called off the decades-long war on drugs in what appeared to be a desperate move aimed at reducing the body count by reducing turmoil in the cartels.

"There is officially no more war," he declared. "We want peace, and we are going to achieve peace. ".

He announced that the military would no longer seek to arrest cartel kingpins.

"No capos have been arrested, because that is not our main purpose," he continued. "The main purpose of the government is to guarantee public safety. ".

He added "What we want is security, to reduce the daily number of homicides."

American law enforcement officials said that an extradition treaty with Mexico remains in effect, and the capture of El Mayo is still a top priority.

"Maybe it's not a focus of theirs," one federal agent said. "It is a focus of ours."

An American official who has worked with the Mexican Marines felt sure they remained determined to capture El Mayo. He said that the spirit and courage of the Marines is on full display in a video that was taken of them advancing into mortal danger to capture El Chapo.

"Hurry! Hurry!" the marines can be heard shouting in Spanish midst gunfire. "Up the stairs!

The official noted that the Marines fight on, day after day after day at great risk for scant personal gain.

"They get paid peanuts," the official observed.

Meanwhile, the cartels continued to smuggle drugs by the ton into the USA, almost none of it over unsecured stretches of the border, virtually all of it either by sea or through tunnels or in vehicles across already highly secured entry points. The day after the Mexican president declared the end of his country's war on drugs, the New York state special narcotics prosecutor announced the recovery of 70 pounds of heroin and fentanyl. Those arrested included a man who gave his home as "Sinaloa, Mexico," El Chapo's home province and the base for his cartel.

On Tuesday, a jury found El Chapo guilty of smuggling hundreds of tons of heroin and cocaine into America. He would likely still be at liberty in Mexico were it not for the Marines.

The question now is whether Marines will be allowed to go after El Mayo and other monsters such as caused a gallant soul visiting New York to ask if he could just walk the streets because he could not do that at home.

Well it looks like we have opposing viewpoints as far as making that 2 block walk between Revolucion and the Zona Norte.

If you want to exercise on the side of caution then tale a taxi. But I would agree with Scudrucker. I enjoy the culture and have done a lot of walking in Tijuana, without a problem. However I'm much more comfortable making that walk with a chica or amigos, for sure safety in numbers.

Also some factors to consider. Early mornings with less people around seem to invite police shakedowns. Also the month before Christmas and changes in administration also increase the odds of shakedowns. And that month before Christmas there is also a spike in muggings and crime in general.

Just walk with purpose, keep your head on a swivel and remain alert as you should walking through any USA City.
