I think you have it backasswards.

I didn't bother to look it up, but.

A correct statement might be "The peso is currently at 21.67 per euro right now."

About a week ago you wrote about dollars, and then had to clarify that you meant pesos. Your confusion detracts from your missives.
LOL! OMG where do I start? First of all, I don't understand why you have to create a new post dedicated solely to a typo. Especially when your short post contains an egregius mistruth! When typing on a tiny keyboard on a tiny screen on your phone, with it making changes to your grammar via Autocorrect, you're liable to commit a typo or two. So what? 99.99% of people who have recently visited Mexico had enough sense to understand exactly what I meant, and it doesn't take a lot. If you're going to try to make corrections to another's post, make corrections to their argument, their facts, their logic, etc. Don't point out obvious typos, because you are just wasting everybody's time. Everybody but you understood I meant 1 Euro = 21.67 pesos, okay?

And don't make up easily verifiable lies in order to support your inconsequential point. I NEVER, and I mean never wrote about dollars then had to clarify it to pesos. That is an outright ridiculous lie. You are obviously referring to post #699 in the Tropical Bar thread, where you mistakenly understood what I wrote to be in dollars. I didn't write in dollars, nor pesos. I just wrote "$300. " And in its context, it is obvious I meant pesos. Again, you are the only person who didn't have enough sense to know that I obviously meant pesos. Like, when someone writes "I paid $20 for a taco" are you going to grill them for getting ripped off on a $20 usd taco? Or if someone writes "I took the HK chica arriba for $80. " Are you going to hound them for the chica's info because you think you can take her arriba for $80 pesos? In almost all instances, when writing about monetary amounts, it is plainly obvious to anyone with the smallest amount of sense to know whether the OP is writing about dollars or pesos.

If I may give a bit of advice, when someone is writing about monetary amounts, give it a bit of thought. It should be obvious whether the poster means dollars or pesos. We're not talking dollars vs Euros here, where the exchange rate is like 1. 15. We're talking a 19:1 exchange rate so it should be obvious! You don't need to create new posts solely to point out typos, and lie in the process of doing so. It is a waste of time and bandwith. If I were to try and correct every type in every post I'd be still stuck on the same thread a year later.

    Stupid

I sometimes walk up revolution for a break in the day. There are souvenir shops and I sometimes stop to buy cheap sunglasses (sunglasses fetish). Anyway I got to know this older gentlemen and he always remembers me. He offered tequila that is supposed to be very good there is a testers bottle that tourists can try.

And I tried some. Ended up buying a bottle and had it in my room for the stay. In hindsight it was kind of stupid of me to buy unknown tequila but it was really good and I did not go blind. Broke my own travel rule but turned out ok.

I purchased tequila at the pharmacy down from revolution. The man said this was better than Patron, the man lied. It is hard to find good tequila for a decent price. Can anyone recommend a good liquor store that does not cater to tourists or should I buy on USA Side and carry across?

They don't work in supermarkets but they are typical city educated lawyers, nurses, computer programmers, small business owners. They easily make 30 k USA dollars, I know one who must be making 300 k she handed out 30 a day to beggars in front of me.
Your post is a spot-on portrayal of how much you're out of touch with reality. If the regular Mexicans you know regularly fly to Europe for vacation, you're either lying or living in a fantasy world, most likely both. I'd say less than 5% of Mexicans can afford to travel to Europe and pay for hotels, restaurants, transportation, entertainment, tours, souvenirs, all in Euros. The Euro is currently at 21.67 per peso right now. And anybody who's been to Europe knows that it isn't exactly a hotbed for Mexican tourists. The numbers I put out are accurate for the normal Mexican in Tijuana, many of whom never graduated high school. And another point to highlight that you don't know what you're talking about, nurses in Tijuana don't make crap. You think because the typical nurse in USA makes around $100 k the same is true in Mexico? Just utterly clueless you are. I actually know two nurses down here. Nurses in Tijuana make between about $2500 mx / week, which is about $130 usd. That is $6800 usd / year, a far cry from "easily 30 k USA dollars. " Think about it, many pharmacies offer a consultation from a licensed physician for only $50 mx. You think they're paying nurses $576 k pesos annually if doctors are making $50 pesos for a consultation? And also, a computer programmer in Mexico typically makes about $15 k usd / year, half of what you claim.

Classic fear mongering. If you reject a girl, chances are she'll just sit or stand around for the next 20 minutes. Very rarely will there be another monger ready to take her up that fast. Maybe a 1% chance. And you can stand still outside for a bit without getting harassed. I'm not saying it's a good, pleasant situation out on the streets because it is not. I'm saying that it's not anywhere as near as bad as the OP is claiming. You can walk around for hours and not really be bothered. Sure there will be guys that say "taxi" and "shoe shine" and trying to sell you a massage or begging for a few pesos. But just ignore them or say "no" and they move on.
