    Luggage Storage Follow up

Are you guys leaving the luggage at the actual club entrance to HK or the hotel front desk at Cascada / rizo? If at the hotel, is there any issues leaving luggage there for a few hours if you are not actually staying the night? Thanks for the help so far by the way, just want to make sure I'm on the same page.

I've done this by default whenever I get to Tijuana well before check-in time at Cascadas.
They aren't bad as I never had anything stolen form them, just be sure to collect you items by the next day or they might be send to lost and found at some Maseros house. FYI.

Kind of anxious about leaving my luggage at the front desk in another country honestly. Especially since some staff would have an idea of some contents from when they search luggage when you first check in. But if others have had good experience with this I'd feel more comfortable.

    Mouzone,

I left gears in casa ada rizo and HK front desk many times, never lost anything.

I left an expensive bottle of Don Julio 1942 with HK front desk a few weeks, they never took a swig.

    Calculate your own risks.

    Parking at Otay

There are a couple of lots on Roll Street by the crossing. Weekend rates are 18.00 at the one on the left by 7/11 and 20.00 at the one on the right. I believe weekday rates are something like 12 and 15 dollars and this is for 24 hours. I usually park on the one on the left and have never ever had any problems. Once you cross and head out of Mexican immigration there will be white taxis. You don't want to take these as they charge about 20.00 to head down to Tijuana Central and Hk. Keep walking straight until you get to the main street and grab a Taxi Libre or other taxi. Do not pay them more than 12 dollars to take you downtown. The great part about going thru Otay, besides the cheaper parking is that you will rarely encounter a huge line coming back to the USA I usually return on a Sunday morning around 8 am and usually encounter no line whatsoever or a few in line where I have not had to wait more than 5 minutes. Once you exit the USA Immigration, get your car and go to Starbucks and get some coffee as you leave. Easy peasy.

I have not been there in awhile but you could find parking for $10 for 24 hrs. And you don't want to use the taxis parked right there, they charge to much. You want to walk a little and hail a cab or use uber / didi.

As suggested if you are doing it to save money on parking, just park in the trolley lot. But if you are planning on returning to the USA Mid morning its probably worth using otay to avoid long waits.

For walking just use San Ysidro

Is Tecate even open? The last I heard, it was closed due to a fire. But that was a day or two ago.
