Are you still butthurt over me calling you out over you insisting that $80 was the standard bribe for a traffic stop? Get over yourself.

I'll be in la zona today (2/3). I will make it a point to be at HK at 6 pm, so if you're around, the first one's on me. Hell, on second thought, why don't we invite Ford van, too. He might even learn something.

    Clunker Fan screwing a squirrel

    Babe Magnet.

Clunker Fan is so proud he's screwing a woman looking like a squirrel, most likely an old, shriveled squirrel too.

    Hehehe.

I've been in ruta taxis filled with passengers stopping for gas. Its like needing a bathroom. Its never a good time but its always the RIGHT time.

Of all the times I've taken an uber or Lyft in the US I've never had a driver pull over and put gas during the ride that I'm paying for. US drivers know that if they're too much of a lazy inconsiderate a-hole to pump gas before accepting a passenger that they will lose their tip and get a low rating. But in Mexico I guess they see things differently. I know what they're doing they're so tight with their pesos they wait until they have a paying customer to actually go and buy fuel. It's such an ass backwards mentality, and in the US would be considered a total dick move, but it seems to be accepted practice in Tijuana.

I asked her if she'd experienced an Uber driver stopping for gas in the middle of a fare. She said it had never happened. Once, the driver was close but didn't show any movement. She called him and he said he was getting gas. She waited for 20 minutes but the pendejo never showed. But, as I said earlier, I have been in Taxi Libres that stopped for gas mid-fare.

The third world smell of the place, the crappy rip off antics of the bars and the meseros, the food that has given me a stomach ache, the damn ranchera and banda music, the methed out beggars, the corrupt policia. You get the idea. I long to get back to the good ole USA. Imagine buying a place out there and getting this urgent need to get the Hell out of there but you are stuck. Think about it. Some of my friends that have bought there wish they didn't.
This need to escape Tijuana hits me everyday by 8 am. Well 9 am if I go to grab a coffee for a bit. I can only handle the daytime on Saturday and Sunday when I can go walk with the food shoppers in the technology flea market area. And from what I'm hearing cops are checking a lot shoes for $$ too now so eventually they will get me for money. In the morning even on revolucion street I've had cops stop car to look at me and decide if they should stop me. I don't find the restaurant food to be good either as a vegetarian. Can do much better in san Diego at same price. Even the revolucion hotels aren't only saving me 15 dollars a night vd much nicer San Diego hotels with more amenities in San Diego. Anyway I get out of Tijuana by 10 am almost every night I stay over.

Driving in Tijuana-Four way stop signs

In Tijuana if you find yourself at a four way stop sign intersection do not "wait your turn" as you would normally do driving in the US. When it's your turn to go you'd better be already rolling halfway through the intersection or else you'll never get a chance to go. Basically you have to drive like a total asshole or you'll get ran over left in the dust. And the tricky part is when you cross into San Diego you have to mentally reprogram yourself to drive by American rules and standards.

What you're describing is life in the Zona Norte, or life in Gringolandia, like Rosarito. GTFO of the places where the gringo rules and things get a lot better. Gringos in Mexico tend to attract all the Riff Raff.

Man, if it weren't for bad luck, you'd have no luck. I've never had a Uber driver do that. In Thailand, yes. I've had Libres do it. Maybe I've just been lucky. I'll ask Rocky the Flying Squirrel, aka The Queen of Uber. It makes sense that they'd run on the edge. I don't think the Uber drivers make all that much money. That's why I tip them religiously.

You're a lot more patient than me. Hanging out with a chica for even a day gets on my last nerve so I rarely do it. When I motion to the money on the table, that's her cue to hit the road.

    The romantics

Some guys just cannot be stopped from marrying a big girl, buying a house in Tijuana and settling down for eternal bliss.

Why put up with all these assholes laws, taxes and filing requirement every year just to own a pad? Not sure owning your own place in Tijuana is a good idea with lots of crimes and required maintenance, taxes and filing every year. Any potential happiness or capital gain may not be there or worth the hassle.
