Posts: 461Two points:
-Vast majority of HIV statistics include men who are not truthful about "Men having sex with Men".
-There is large amount of "fake news" about gay Men from total number; their HIV rates; to media propaganda.
Believe it or not, many gay men still do not admit they are gay; have girlfriends, wives, kids and report on survey, statistics and medical reports they are not gay.
The only reputable sources (US CDC, and WHO), I read usually separate out "MSM" or "men who have sex with men" as the vast majority of new cases of HIV.
One famous actuarial study stated that risk of a Straight Male to contract HIV from Woman who has Straight male partners is same as something random falling on your head from sky.
So, wearing a helmet all day is the actual protection risk / measure.

Posts: 310Just looked it up. Transmission rates are double for male to female (. 08% or 8 times in 10,000 fucks) while it is. 04% (4 in 10,000) for an infected female to transmit to her male partner. Frankly I thought the spread was bigger so would modify my earlier statement a little. But the chance of getting HIV from a random BBFS is quite low. When AIDS was a death sentence the stakes overwhelmed the odds. But that's not the case any longer, HIV is a treatable manageable disease now. I'm not suggesting that everybody start going raw but find the strong reaction from some quarters a bit irrational. I think BBFS represents the last moral frontier that can't be crossed for many.
