First, I want to give a huge shout-out to Artisttyp for posting one of the most thorough trip reports I have ever read. It is in the Acapulco thread, #140. I put his report in the "Links to Reports of Distinction" thread. His report helped me a lot during my 3-night romp. Thank you Artisttyp!

Welcome to Acapulco!

Acapulco was a very nice surprise. When I first thought of Acapulco, I pictured a butt-load of young gringos running amuck doing shots and acting of fool. But because I stayed clear of those types of clubs, I saw very few. The only clubs I visited were the strip bars. Otherwise, all I saw was a large amount of Mexican nationals that were on vacation.

I think there were two reasons for the lack of gringos: The state is listed by the US government on the "Do not travel List" and / or spring break was pretty much over when I went; not really sure.

There were a decent amount of interesting things to see and do in the city. It was hot as hell, as well as high humidity during the day, but it slightly cooled off at night.

Very few people in the city wore masks, unless they worked with clients; like hotel staff and restaurant workers. Even then, there were very few in those places as well.

I only saw one church during my trip. But when I was heading towards the resorts, I thought I saw a huge temple or church. Because I did not have on my distance glasses, it turned out to be a big ass bottle of Coca Cola. Note to self: Next time bring your distance glasses!

Why Acapulco?

I'm still slowly working my way through each state in Mexico.

Note: I flew to Acapulco out of Tijuana and back only using my passport card. A passport book is not required.

All the money I quote is in pesos, unless you see the dollar sign.

I used CBX from Otay to the Tijuana airport and back. CBX round trip was around 38 bucks. CBX prices are seasonal. They have a low season, regular season, and high season. I crossed during the low season.

After clearing immigration at the Tijuana airport, I relaxed in the lounge for some chow and adult beverages. Returning there was a VIP lounge on the second floor in the airport.

Getting there:

I flew Aeromexico round-trip to Acapulco. Each way, there was a layover in Mexico City. Beware of layover times at MEX! Make sure you have at least an hour layover between flights at that airport! I can't stress that enough. I got lucky this trip because all my flights were on time; what a concept!

The taxi from the Acapulco airport to my hotel was 450 and it was the same cost returning to the airport; both trips by taxis. Traveling each way took around 30 to 35 minutes. That depended on the driver.

Getting around town:

First, there are no Ubers in Acapulco!

I used taxis throughout my stay. Taxis were abundant. Meters were nonexistent. The blue and white taxis had a price chart in each cab and that's what they went by. My hotel had their own dedicated blue and white taxis in front of the hotel. When I was romping through the streets, the going cost per hour was 300. Other cities in Mexico, taxis and Ubers can be had at a cheaper hourly rate.

Hotel:

I stayed at the Fiesta Americana. The place was beautiful and the staff was excellent. I had a great room, it was very quiet, and on the 19th floor. I got a great deal on their website. I paid for two nights and got the third night for free. The hotel wanted me to wear a wristband; didn't happen!

Was it girl friendly? Not sure, but I did bring a chica in the hotel around 5 in the morning. My strategy has always been the same. Whenever I reserve a room, I book it for two people. When I get to the hotel, some hotels will ask me the other person's name or ask me to write down the name of the other person. At that point, I don't say or write down anything. Thus, if I bring in an escort or a bar chica, then if needed, I write down their name. I never had a chica turned away.

Communication:

I have the North American T-Mobile plan; no worries.

Restaurants:

I did a lot of research before I left and here are my thoughts on the food scene:

Harry's Outstanding.

Yoyas Very good.

Tony's Outstanding.

La Vicenta. Outstanding.

The street food venders were abundant throughout the city, especially around the parks and the city's one church.

Spanish:

I thought because Acapulco was a resort destination, English would be widely spoken. That was not the case, very little English was spoken, which included in the hotel, restaurants, drivers, and clubs. This was another surprise for me.

In each club, I asked several questions and did my best to write the answers on my trusty note pad. Thus, if I am wrong with any of my notes, feel free to chime in with the correct information. I wrote down the prices of the cheapest beer and ficha.

Club: Karlota.

Cover: 100.

Sex: 4000/5000 for 30.

On Site: Yes.

Number of Chicas: 9.

Quality of Chicas: Good to very good.

Night / Time: Thursday /11:15.

Comments: This was a small cozy club with nice chicas, but the prices were out of control.

Comments: This was a strange place. Their theme was Arabs on roller skates; WTF? All the meseros had on roller skates and were dressed like Arabs. At certain times, they would skate fast around in circles. I've been to many clubs in my life, but I never seen shit like that.

Sex: 2500 for 30.

Quality of Chicas: Good to hot.

Comments: This was a good size club with nice chicas and decent ficha prices. I fell in love with a real cutie for a short period of time; then reality hit and I left. I really liked the place.

Cover: 100.

Beer: 70.

Sex: I had some conflicting prices. One chica told me 3000 for 40 and another told me 2800 for 1 hour.

On Site: Yes.

Number of Chicas: 15.

Quality of Chicas: She will do in a pinch to kind of OK.

Night / Time: Thursday /1.

Comments: The best way to describe those girls is to refer you to the South Part episode when the kids go on a field trip to Costa Rica and they look out the bus windows and see a bunch of skanky street walkers. Yep, that is my assessment!

Club: Madisson.

Cover: Don't remember if I paid anything.

Beer: 80.

Ficha: 250.

Sex: I had some conflicting prices in this place as well. Two chicas that took the short bus to school quoted me 6500 for 30; WTF. I met a blonde hottie (only hottie in the club) just before I left and she quoted me 4000 for 1 hour.

On Site: Yes.

Number of Chicas: 9.

Quality of Chicas: Decent to good, with one hottie in the mix.

Night / Time: Thursday /2.

Comments: It was a nice cozy bar and was designed quite well. But there were way too many short bus chicas in the place.

I only went to one club Friday night because I fell in love again and spent a good amount of time with her.

Club: Para Llevar OR No Name OR Royal (no clue) I thought this club was called Royal, but I'm still not sure. Outside the club was painted black and had no lights or no name anywhere.

Cover: 100.

Beer: Never asked.

Ficha: Never asked.

Sex: 2000 for 1 hour.

On Site: No, take out only.

Number of Chicas: I saw 15.

Quality of Chicas: All fucking hot!

Night / Time: Friday /10:30.

Comments: Because they did not have a menu, I was unable to get the prices for the beer or ficha. I could have asked, but I got so wrapped up in my new soon to be Colombian wife; I failed miserably. Most of the chicas were from Venezuela or Colombia. Unlike other clubs, the place was well lit and there were no dancers, just a bunch of beautiful women sitting around waiting for you to take them out of the club. This is a "must see" club!

The next two clubs were considered unsafe by my taxi driver; hence, we went anyway.

Club: Cratos.

Cover: None.

Beer: 60.

Ficha: 200.

Sex: 2000 for 30.

On Site: Yes.

Quality of Chicas: Doable to good, plus 2 hotties in the mix.

Night / Time: Saturday /11:30.

Comments: This was a huge club with rotating dancers. It was a local place and very strange to boot. I can't describe why it was strange; it just was!

Comments: It was a small club with very friendly chicas. I met a chica that works in Tijuana from time to time. Took her to a private 2-3 song room, but they let us stay in the room for more than 10 minutes; maybe they were long songs? We did all sorts of naughty stuff during that time; I liked her and the club!

I ran across this next club by accident. I was looking for a certain hotel because I had a date with a chica from Mileroticos. But when I found the hotel, it was full, so I gave the fuck up.

Club: Royalty.

Cover: None.

Beer: 60.

Ficha: 220.

Sex: 4000 for 1 hour.

On Site: Yes.

Number of Chicas: 8.

Quality of Chicas: OK to hot.

Night / Time: Saturday /2.

Comments: This club was located in Bumfuck Acapulco. I did not have a clue where I was and I was without transportation. I was with a chica and she quoted me 400 for 1 hour. I even had her write down the price to be sure. I thought it was one hell of a bargain so off we went to the cashier. Well, it turned out my chica was a pinche liar and the cost was 4000 for 1 hour. Therefore, I left and went searching for a taxi.

Street scene:

The street scene is limited, but active in one area; El Centro. The two streets are Belesario Dominguz and Velasques de Leon. The three hotels are La Puma Azul, Hotel Betty, and Hotel Leon. I went there around 4 on Friday afternoon. I only saw six chicas. I chatted with two chicas at Hotel Leon, both were asking for 350 for 15 minutes.

Then I asked two chicas at Hotel Betty and the prices were the same. But the chicas there were rude. I said Hello, and the girls were completely immersed in their phones. They looked up at me for a second, and then returned to their phones.

There were two chicas at La Puma Azul. One was quite hot and I told her I needed at least 30 minutes for rack operations. The price was 700 and the hotel was included. So off we went upstairs to street girl heaven. The chica was amazing; one of the best street girls I've ever been with.

There were a few ficha bars in the area with a few really chunky chicas; I did not partake.

Casas:

Every taxi driver talked about the casas in the city. I really meant to go to a couple, but I could not find the time. But they do exist!

Final thoughts on Acapulco:

It was a seeking putas and eating great food trip. I thought the city was very safe and I never felt threaten in any manner. Would I ever return to Acapulco? It's possible, but only after I'm done with all 32 states. Would I recommend it to other mongers? Yep, there are plenty of things to see and do and plenty of monger venues to boot! I had a great time in Acapulco.

Another fine production Mr. TomJackin! Acapulco stopped being a top American tourist draw decades ago, especially for spring breakers, when Cancun took over as king. As you found, it's mostly a place for Mexican nationals now. Unfortunately, some of those nationals have been tied to the drug cartels and got into too many gunfights in the place. Thus the US government warnings about vacationing in Acapulco. But it's fall for American tourism started long before the drug cartel violence with the rise of Cancun. And the bit about the "Arab" roller skaters? That shit made me literally laugh out loud LOLOLOL!

Great report Tom, I visited a long time ago but was visiting a Tijuana girl so she convinced me to go to a male strip club. I don't think many Americans visit the city anymore and I don't even think the cruise ships stop their like before. I remember all those Love Boat episodes of them going to Acapulco. I think the biggest visitors are from CDMX especially during Semana Santa.

I'm very happy to hear you didn't feel unsafe at all and they have lots of clubs. I hadn't had it on my list of possibilities due to thinking that they are still having cartel wars. I guess it's just the more rural areas.

The scheduler was a hot Mexican chica unavailable for sexo. The chicas live upstairs. The lineup is full of big Colombian chicas and 1 Venezuelan. Complete GPS. No smiling and no GFE. $100 per hour plus you need to perform off sight. Passed.

The driver mentioned a local casa nearby with Mexican chicas. The price is 1300 pesos for 40 minutes GFE. Agreed to check it out.

House is located in a residential neighborhood. Its interesting that the mama runs the casa with her young daughter present. Three chicas were available. Selected a petite cute chica that looked mulatta. Open 24 hours with a bigger selection at night.
