Not necessarily going to Aca for mongering. Looking forward to the dance clubs. Hear there are many. I am hopeful there will be some crowds. However any update on pay for play action? Or any clubs for locals? I speak some spanish and love banda and spanish rock.

If it at least had a few 600mx casas de citas like Mazatlan it would be worth a trip.
Cheers

I absolutely loved this area and spent all my nights here with lots of walks over to La Huerta. On my first 2 trips to Acapulco I actually spent my last night there until the sun came up and the school kids were walking thru the area. It was rare that I went to a strip club outside this area since I had everything I wanted there and all the prices were very reasonable. I would spend all year dreaming about my Winter trip or trips to Acapulco since some years I made 2 trips there.
The first year I was in Acapulco I went to watch the Super Bowl at a bar on the Costera and met 2 guys from my home state with one of them being Mexican. I partied with them the rest of the night with the Mexican being a huge help since I knew no Spanish then. We ended up at La Heurta about a couple hours before the action started and actually ended up playing poker in the La Huerta complex with 4 people from San Francisco. One of the putas was able to find us a deck of cards and we used match sticks for chips and actually played for real money. We ended up with a long night in La Zona a block away.
I had a very good friend that loved the Acapulco action and actually moved there when he retired in 1993 so I always stayed with him and it was great since he went to La Zona or some smaller strip bars every night and had all the latest info for me. He passed away 2 years ago. So now there is really no reason for me to return to Acapulco since he is gone and the monger action is just a shadow of what it once was.
There were usually a few freelancers that hung out along the curb in front of Disco Beach and would take you by taxi to one of 2 very nice love motels. I did find one absolute knockout there that I had several sessions with over a few years, but usually the quality was not that great.
You can read my post #105 that is a few years old but is probably still pretty accurate with perhaps some places now closed that were open then. I will be glad to answer any other questions you may have that I can help you with.
I will say Acapulco is a very beautiful place to visit and a great vacation spot in our winter since the weather is always perfect with no rain.

Posts: 1Just a brief update to this information:
Foxy's and Tabares 2 (papa gallo) are closed and perhaps they won't be open again.
There's no such thing as red light district but if you want to explore go to the area where the Arena Coliseo is located. I have seen a few streetwalkers in that street.
Maybe the RLD used to be where "La huerta" was. Nowadays that area is creepy and indeed should be avoided if you are tourist.

As for the action, its as easy as ever, just pick your level of strip tease place, convince the girl to take her out to your hotel, or you can go to the rooms the bars usually have upstairs.
For great looking girls and $$$ go to tabares, foxys and chicas.
For good looking firls and $$ go to tabares 2, el sombrero.
For not good looking girls but.$ to to the red district which should be avoided if you are a tourist, its just bad, I won't even recommended to the locals.
Peace

ACA is currently the 2nd deadliest city in Mexico. Juarez being #1.
If you hear anything let me know. 20 Christmas holidays in ACA! Those were the days.

Posts: 52Acapulco AfroCasino / La Huerta
As an old habitue of Acapulco, I wonder if Artistyp can tell me what happened to Afro Casino / La Huerta. Afro Casino was a show bar frequented by tourists and execs from companies on a spree, often accompanied by wives. The same girls who cadged drinks in Afro Casino, also attended clients in the adjoining La Huerta. One could also take girls out on payment of a bar fine. They even made it into a short story by Carlos Fuentes. Haven't been to Acapulco since '84, but understand that they have disappeared.
There was also a street nearby where there were bars that attracted clientel from the navy, army and locals generally. Had a most surreal experience with a very pretty deaf-mute and her less attractive sister. Had to take the sister as a translator. Does anyone know if this is still active?

Also worth doing is checking out the local scene. I've been told there are a few bars behind " La Costera" by maybe 2 blocks. La Costera is where all the tourist clubs are located. Behind those places are local hang outs. YMMV for several reasons. Hopefully your spanish is decent.
Disco Beach is a bar on La Costera and public beach. I've read accounts of SW's trying to pick up clients there. Starts at $50 YMMV. Don't expect amazing quality is what I've been told.
Strip clubs are like filling up a boat. Muy caro. If you have the bucks have fun. You can definitely score for a generous $um.
I would also take a stroll around the Zocalo (main square downtown) in the early evening. There are no solid reports of things going on there but another poster awhile ago mentioned that the ACA scene is alive and well. Whatever that means. I * assume something would be going on downtown if it was going on. Just my thoughts.
I haven't been in years but I have researched the possibility of going. I hope this helps.
You must report back. I have so many fond memories of ACA.

Well prostitution is legal in Mexico with the exception of minors of course. I do not patronize minors and with a little discretion and checking it's not hard to avoid them.

watch out guys. i would stay clear of acapulco for a while (or at least this area spoken of). most le in mexico does not give a shit, this is an american spin on the situation. you never know there might be some crusader cop trying to bust you, or even a news crew out. if the girl turns out to be ****, then you're really fucked.
reminds of my mongering days in sex prison. damnit to hell if this fucked up mentality in the states ends up spreading.

I just bought a one way ticket to ACA for $218 from NYC. I am looking to wind up in Cancun traveling throughout the border areas and major cities in chiapas on the way.
By the way I am an OLD OLD school ACA guy. I used to go there in the 70's and 80's. I doubt it's the same.
