Take a D3 supplement with the Others

So Mr Dough has been a lifeline.

Every 3 days I also take D3 in addition to the K2 and Magnesium.

Been working great. Mind and body has been on sex a lot.

Got genetic testing done and they said I am at an increased risk for coronary artery disease and I noticed that when I go to he dentist they get rid of a lot of hard plaque and I'm sure that would be in my arteries. I have noticed the build up has not been there on my teeth since I started this.

Besides the hard penis I have and boners that look more like my younger days I am of the belief this is probably going to add quality years to my life.

I would think that any one who reads this thread would do yourself well to jump on this. It really seems to be a huge health benefit.

I used to eat a high vitamin K1 diet with lots of leafy greens. My erectile dysfunction kept getting worse year after year. Then I started getting chest pain and numbness in my left arm, classic symptoms of an impending heart attack. One bottle of supplemental vitamin K2 MK7 followed by daily magnesium supplements eliminated the erectile dysfunction, chest pain and arm numbness. It saved my life.

"Given that some vitamin k deficiency or insufficiency has been seen in 97% of older subjects in a mixed population as reflected by their measures of ucMGP, and considering the issues with vitamin K bioavailability from foods, its retention and transport, the benefits associated with a higher intake of vitamin K2, and the lack of toxicity, it seems reasonable to suggest that recommendations for vitamin K2 (esp. As MK-7) be increased to 180 μg / day for adults".
I have to wonder, will this routine help me? I am in my early 80's and once is a good ride, but it can take a couple hours for a second round. Don't wake up with an erection anymore but still when the need arises, everything works as it should. I am in good health with a few stents in my heart and work out twice a week and according to my friends, look about 15 years or so younger.

I thought I knew a good bit about nutrition and supplementation but had never heard of K2 before reading this thread. Being a born skeptic my initial reaction was that this was probably one of the many anecdotal bullshit ED cures. Then I went down the rabbit hole of research and discovered how significant K2 is and how nearly everyone is deficient in it. People are taking calcium for bone health to avoid osteoporosis not realizing that a K2 deficiency will cause that supplemental calcium to skip the bones and go straight to the arteries. My research also showed me how common magnesium deficiency is. Given that ED can be an early warning sign of clogged arteries (I've got a family history of heart attacks) all of this got my attention.

Two weeks ago I started taking 200 mcg of K2 (MK7) and 400 MG of magnesium, half in AM and half in PM. Very quickly noticed more morning wood and increased stiffness. Thinking this was probably just placebo affect I tested out discontinuing my daily Cialis that I've used for a couple of years. When I've gone off Cialis in the past erection frequency and quality dropped off significantly and quickly. Not this time. If I didn't know better I'd think I was still on the daily Cialis. I presume this is an effect of the magnesium since the K2 decalcification of the artery process should take a lot longer than two weeks.

Whenever I see someone report this kind of experience I'm always curious about their specifics, so here are mine. Mid-fifties, reasonably healthy, pretty good diet, reasonable exercise but nothing crazy, bloodwork all pretty normal. Could lose 15-20 pounds to get to ideal weight but overall reasonably healthy middle aged guy.

So thanks for sharing the original post John Dough, very helpful indeed!

    Vitamin K1 vs. K2

Risks. You should not use vitamin K supplements unless your health care provider tells you to.

People using Coumadin for heart problems, clotting disorders, or other conditions may need to watch their diets closely to control the amount of vitamin K they take in. They should not use vitamin K supplements unless advised to do so by their health care provider.

    Not worried about vitamin K2

Vitamin K2 is a group of compounds largely obtained from meats, cheeses, and eggs, and synthesized by bacteria.

Why do people take vitamin K? Low levels of vitamin K can raise the risk of uncontrolled bleeding. While vitamin K deficiencies are rare in adults, they are very common in newborn infants.

Most people get enough vitamin K from their diets.

Good natural food sources of vitamin K include:

Vegetables like spinach, asparagus, and broccoli.

    Legumes like soybeans.

You can also meet your daily requirement with foods that have lesser amounts of vitamin K:

    Eggs.

    Strawberries.

    Meat like liver.

While vitamin D3 is necessary and beneficial, it must be kept in balance with other vitamins like A and K2. Without adequate K2, vitamin D3 can actually increase soft tissue calcification.

Calcium deposits occur not only in the arteries and on the teeth, but also in all soft tissue in the body, including the prostate. That is not old age, that is nutritional deficiency of vitamin K2 and magnesium.

    https://www.researchgate.net/publica...tomy_specimens

"Calcifications in the prostate and ejaculatory system were common, and their frequency in our series (of 298 specimens) is as follows: 88.6% (264/298) of prostates, 58.1% (173/298) of seminal vesicles, and 17.1% (51/298) of ejaculatory ducts".

    https://laddmcnamara.com/2019/05/14/...-osteoporosis/

"Numerous animal studies have shown that vitamin K2 prevents and reverses arterial calcification. . . . the most common cause of erectile dysfunction".

I always wake up with an erection now (in my sixties), like when I was younger. I get them whenever there are erotic scenes on TV shows or movies I am watching, or when I have erotic thoughts. This can happen several times a day. I don't try to drop a load more than once a day, so I can't answer about repeat sessions. However, I do still get erections later the same day. This is just from vitamin K2 MK7 and magnesium glycinate. It was the vitamin D3 though that made them longer lasting and more sustainable in a standing position.

If you are already getting improved performance, it must be from the magnesium. Decalcification from vitamin K2 is a slow process. Fortunately you can use your teeth as a guide to whether or not it is working. When you get your levels of vitamin K2, zinc and magnesium high enough, your teeth will feel so smooth you might not need to brush them at all. If you don't notice that, try a different brand of K2 or add zinc. For me it was about two months after the clean teeth effect that I started to notice an improvement in erections. Then it continued to improve slowly over a few years.

    Questions

    For Mr Dough:

First thanks again for insightful information.

Have you noticed erections long term have been longer and more sustainable? About how many times a day are you able to go and how often are erections?

I only ask as rather quickly I went from sometimes not having any daily erections and being non recoverable for day after 1 load dropping to having a couple of erections daily without trying. I have increase load also.

I never had problems with this and am still rather young, but I am happy to have Been able to put this knowledge to use. I was not looking to have Ed for sure. Also I noticed calcium build ups around my bridge in my mouth so I am sure my arteries would face the same. I am thankful for this for my long term health.

In supplement form, vitamin K2 MK7 has been shown to be effective, whereas the MK4 form has not. MK7 is produced from bacterial fermentation while MK4 is synthetically produced. Natural source MK4 from animal fat should work. See the attachments to my original post for food sources. Since vitamin K2 is stored in the liver, one bottle of supplements should be enough for a few years. Plaque on the teeth is the same as plaque in the arteries. If your vitamin K2 supplement is working, within a few weeks you should notice your teeth start to feel smoother against your tongue.

Magnesium is used in many body functions, including erections. I have found continued daily supplementation to be helpful. Magnesium is stored in the muscles. It is used up in the process of decalcification. If I don't take it I get muscle cramps. It is calming and can be used as a sleep aid. Some people take it at bed time for that reason.

I think zinc may also be used up in the decalcification process. I started taking 10 MG supplements. It seems to help with keeping my teeth feeling smooth, so therefore with removing excess calcium. I believe the commonly sold dose of 50 MG is excessive for long term consumption. I haven't noticed any erectile improvements from zinc, but it is known to boost testosterone if your levels are low.

Vitamin D3 at a dose of 2,000 iu per day made a noticeable improvement in erectile function after one month of supplementation. It seems to help with keeping it up, while K2 and magnesium help with getting it up. It is also known to boost testosterone if your levels are low. The body uses up magnesium when converting vitamin D3 to the active form.

    https://laddmcnamara.com/2019/05/14/...-osteoporosis/

"arterial plaque consists of 95% calcium, and only 5% cholesterol. To prevent arteriosclerosis, it is reasonable to make our primary focus the prevention of arterial calcification. Vitamin K2 prevents calcium depositing into our arteries. Without arteriosclerosis, you eliminate the most common cause of erectile dysfunction".

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5340248/

"Erectile dysfunction (ED) is common in older men with chronic kidney disease. Magnesium is essential for metabolism of nitric oxide which helps in penile erection. Hypomagnesemia is defined as serum magnesium <1. 8 MG / dL. Our data support that ED is related to hypomagnesemia in elderly patients with moderately to severely reduced kidney function".

    https://wjmh.org/DOIx.php?id=10.5534/wjmh.190151

"vitamin-D deficiency is also associated with erectile dysfunction. In this review, our aim is to interpret the mechanisms by which vitamin-D might regulate anatomy and physiology of penis. Evidence showed that vitamin-D is needed for an adequate erectile function. Briefly, vitamin-D is crucial for a better healthy body and sexual activity".

    https://www.sciencedaily.com/release...0226122548.htm

"Vitamin D can't be metabolized without sufficient magnesium levels. People may suffer from vascular calcification if their magnesium levels aren't high enough".

    Update

Been doing Mr Dough's routine for last week. I definitely am noticing not only more hardons but with the magnesium more of a interest in sex and a calming of any anxieties. Of course it might be different for everyone but so far this has been a very good routine. He said it may take months but even after I think I will stick with Magnesium in my daily vitamin diet.

I was able to go really hard once a day but my 2nd time around would be a bit tougher that day. Now I think I can confidently at least go twice. I would like to be able to pull 3 max sessions regularly by the time I have gone through this routine with the k2 which I am thinking will be 3 months.

After I think I will return to this every 2 to 3 years.

    Vitamin k and magnesium

I'm not that old don't have boner issues but I did notice it is not as raging as it used to be without a bit of help. (Cialis).

Started the k and magnesium routine here suggested by John Dough. Only been a couple of days but I have been waking up with hard ONS.

The reason for taking this was not so much lack of boners as more I wanted to decalcify myself as I do think he is right and it can be an issue with many things down the road.

I have also noticed the magnesium definitely has me a bit more active and I wonder if I was lacking it in my body a bit.

    See what happens.
