If you receive an expression of

interest from somebody with a profile that looks good, I would recommend not responding right away. Wait a few days, and if somebody who represented that they were from New Jersey (as example) has a profile placing them in Texas (or even in a whole other country) only a few days later, then the odds are good that the crook is scamming and is just out to get your money (and waste your time).
