So unless things have changed, the first part would be getting a visa. The last I checked you had to send your passport to Caracas. I think it is effing crazy to do that. Then you have to get a flight there. There used to be cheap flights to Aruba, but the last I checked the only ways in were via Bogota and Panama City, and flights were ridiculously high. Even when I looked at hotel prices they were double the price of their neighboring countries. Apparently, the hotels would tell you that they close their doors at 8 PM and you are shit out of luck after that. Then you have stories of the hotels running out of paper and this is preCovid. God knows what it is like there now.

In comparison, you can hop on Spirit Airlines and get to Bogota for $300 or so, do not need a visa, stay at the decent Ibis hotel for $30 a night, and can be banging all the hot Vennies you want in the Santa Fe region for 10 to $20 a pop. Caracas is not paradise Ailton. Bogota is. If you do not like the altitude, Medellin is a good alternative.

If you're out of shape, use your will and make lifestyle changes to improve your fitness.
