Not a lot of posts on Cabo, so very much appreciate yours. I'm heading there for a week tomorrow. Recently became single and trip was already pre-booked and pre-paid, so will see what life in Cabo is like as a single guy at a high-end All-inclusive resort.

I've never been, had a few days off, and the airfare was very favorable!

Flight:

I flew Volaris for the fifth time out of Tijuana. The airfare was around $240 round trip. I used the CBX from Otay to the Tijuana airport and back for the second time; highly recommend CBX.

Shuttle to hotel and back to the airport:

The hotel recommended Cabo Transfers. I was told it was $42 round trip. But when I made reservations online, there was no option to choose one passenger, so I chose 2 passengers, and thought, yes thought, I could fix it later. I tried to call them several times, but no answer. So, I thought, yes thought, I could fix it with the shuttle driver at the airport. Nope, I had to pay for two, that was their so called policy. It was later in the evening and I didn't see other options; so I paid. It was no wonder why I was the only passenger both trips.

Hotel:

I stayed in El Centro, a block and a stone's throw away from the Marina at the Siesta Suites Hotel. The hotel is on a quiet side street which was a plus for me. The hotel was $246 for three nights. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I had no problem bringing in a girl, but I met her outside the hotel and walked in with her. The hotel has a decent happy hour on the second floor sun deck with a quaint little bar with good prices. I would stay there again.

Communication:

I have the North American T-Mobile plan, so calls, texts, and the using internet were included.

Restaurants:

I was in search of two types of eating establishments: Tacos and restaurants that prepared the salsa at the table.

Tacos first:

Taqueria El Paisa. Good el pastor tacos, and a decent salsa bar.
Tacos Gardenias. Very good breaded shrimp tacos.
Tacos Guss. Very good el pastor tacos, and with lots of different condiments and various salsas. But way too many flies in the place!
El Gran Pastor. My favorite place of the trip. Very good el pastor tacos and there is a bar next to the place to get a drink and sit while you eat your tacos.

Restaurants that prepared salsa at the table:

El Squid Roe. Good salsa, but only the basic ingredients were used.
Giggling Marlin. Very good salsa, with added ingredients to spice up the flavor. The chicken and steak fajitas were kind of bland!
La Casa Country. Favorite of the trip. Very good salsa, with added ingredients to spice up the flavor, like chili pepper. Also in La Casa Country, I had the Molcajete with beef and shrimp. Excellent dish!

Strip / table dance clubs:

All the clubs were within walking distance in Cabo; no cabs needed.

In each club, I asked several questions and did my best to write the answers on my trusty note pad. As each night went on, the more I drank. Thus, if I am wrong with any of my notes, feel free to correct me.

I always drink screwdrivers when I travel in Mexico, and always with the house vodka; Smirnoff. But many in Cabo used Absolute as their house vodka.

The fichas were various prices, I am quoting the lowest ficha price.

Cover charge: $15, included a shot of tequila.

On my way to Tres (3) Potrillos, I past El Copa on the corner. I peeked in and it seemed like just a local place. On my way back, I stopped in the place.

Comments: I walked in the place, and I saw the girl that I liked from Cabaret. I paid 2000 pesos for the girl and the room. The room is under the club. The stairway is dark, I had to use the flashlight app on my phone to navigate the stairs. We were in the room for over an hour and we, or at least I, had a blast!

OK, BEST TIP here! Cabaret and El Copa is owned be the same owner! The manager or owner rotates girls from both clubs. El Copa is one half the price than Cabaret for sex. If you like a girl in Cabaret, she will get rotated to El Copa sometime during the night; be patient!

Type: Topless.

OK, between Cabaret and El Copa on Calle Francisco, there are some local bars that are somewhat sketchy to say the least. Thus, I had to at least visit a couple of them. Oasis and Refugio were closed the entire three nights I was there. There were a couple of girls outside one of the bars, but they did not seemed interested in Gringos; so be it.

We made a quick right out of the bar, then another quick right down this dark hall from hell. The room sucked, but she was fun. The room had used condoms everywhere and used tissues to boot; I felt at home! For places like this, you really have to have a great sense of humor and a bigger sense of adventure!

Massage places:

There were several massage places around my hotel and on Calle Lazaro Cardenas. I stopped and chatted in at least 6 of the places. The average was $40 for an hour massage, and at least another $50 for a "Happy ending. ".

I walked by one that had a yellow promotion sign outside that stated it was $20 for an hour massage. So, I had to at least have a massage. The girl's hands felt so damn good, and she knew just how to brush gently around the Little Sailor; he got excited! Thus, I paid $20 for the massage, and another $50 to please the Little Sailor; that bastard!

Craigslist:

I contacted a few on CL and had one girl lined up to come to my hotel for an hour for 2000 pesos, but she flaked out. Some others were asking for $100 for an hour.

Tinder:

I had three escort matches on Tinder, all were slow to respond. They were all asking for 2000 pesos for an hour. By the time they responded, I already had other plans.

On a side note, I guess many never check the weather forecast before they leave for Cabo, but I did. It rained like hell on Saturday, and I was the only one walking around with an umbrella! Even the street vendors were not selling them; they missed out on some serious cash that day. People were offering me 20 to 30 dollars for my umbrella. I told them I did not need their money, but I did need my umbrella!

Overall thoughts on Cabo San Lucas:

I enjoyed what this city had to offer. The beach was not as close as I would have liked; but I did not spend much time at the beach anyway. I don't fish or play golf, I just enjoy exploring the clubs / bars and chatting with the chicas.

As far as the strip clubs, I thought the prices were outrageous when compared to Tijuana. Yes, there were a lot more options, but the clubs were quite pricey for drinks and chicas.

Now that I have been to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta, I liked PV overall the best.

Would I ever return to Cabo San Lucas? Nah!

My sincere apologies fellow mongers. Traveling to Cabo every March (February once), I have been remiss in posting reports. Some reports from 2011 or so, and reports of distinction from Nogales back in the day.

Going in two weeks and will share current intel.

In the past I have sampled many strip clubs. Amnesia, Lord Blacks, Mermaids / Splash, Cabernet (formerly 20/20), and Tres Potrillos. Extras are expensive except at Cabaret and Tres Potrillos (more of a locals hangout).

The brothel, El Toro Bravo, is a sure bet and reasonable. Usually two decent looking girls out of twenty, however.

Just returned and putting together a lengthy trip report on the adult action in Cabo. The TR should be posted by Thursday.

Checked out the cabo scene on a Tuesday night. Started at cabo wabo, a club co-owned by sammy hagar. The place was packed. A dude was crowd surfing when I walked in. Lots of college chicas as well as some tourists a little older.

Headed across the street to Splash & Mermaids. Mermaids had about 6 dancers and three customers, splash was closed. Girls were 6 or 7 on the hot scale. Had an 8 approach immediately and later had one privado with her. Prior to that a 9 (hot blonde) appeared and I grabbed her right up. Twenty dollars got a five minute topless private with lots of touching and kissing. Vip was 100 to 110 at this and most other clubs for 25 minutes nude with lots of contact promised. The blonde offered her number, yet wanted 250-300 for BJ, 600 for FS.

These were the rates quoted at all the clubs.

Splash: 6 girls all sevens and eights, very few customers, pushy.

Amnesia: busier, had a nice privado with a young spinner after an aggressive dancer gave me some serious convincing just as I sat down. Serious rubbing and kissing as she sat on my lap on the main floor.

Tyler- prices you quote are normal. FS all night can be 300-400 but stunners will try for 500 or 600 (usually includes bar fine). I don't believe spring break really ups the price; most college types will not pay those prices or will want to (mucho free tourista pussy). High prices are paid by the ever constant flow of older, better financed vacationers, sport fisherman, and gringo homeowners. Csl is hit-or-miss on service. Some girls will do BBBJ if price is right, other will never. Always stay away from street girls, and boliero charges cover because girls are generally the best there. I know the place well. But as always you have to pay for quality. Csl is not a cheap place to go; I always discourage mongering unless money is not much of an object.

If you're still there try toro bravo brothel-- ask a taxi or masero where it is. Again, hit or miss but it's certainly no ab / CC.

What's up is run by a girl called norma who is a retired stripper. All her semi-pro friends still hang there. In cabo semi-pros sometimes dabble on the pro side, but the girls usually don't freelance in the clubs- you have to meet them in a sc. If they're dancing or hanging inside a bar, my experience is they are either with someone or do not want to be bothered. Best bet is always to approach, offer a drink, and ask if they live in cabo. Whenever I take a trip, I try to document my journeys, especially about the clubs and chicas. Cabo was no exception. I blew through around 11 or 12 clubs in three nights. I only had a problem in one club. Amnesia, Pacers, and Lord Blacks were all promoting 2 for 1 beers. I don't drink beer.

In Amnesia and Pacers, before I paid the cover at the door, I asked if I could get the 2 for 1 for screwdrivers, both places said no problem. In both places, I confirmed the same information with my meseros. In both places, I paid 8 bucks or the equivalent in pesos.

Before I paid the cover in Lord Blacks, I asked about the 2 for 1 screwdrivers, I was told no problem. I confirmed that with the mesero as he took my order. There was no language barrier whatsoever. He brought back one drink and told me it was 12 bucks. I politely asked where was the other drink, but then he said that was for beer only. I asked to see the manager.

The manager came over and already had a chip on his shoulder. He asked, "What's your problem?" I told him that I confirmed with his staff at the front door and my mesero that I could get the 2 for 1 offer with screwdrivers. He called me a liar and told me if I didn't pay for my drink, he would call the police. This pissed me off, but I kept my composure.

I stopped, thought it over, and decided that confronting police in a foreign country would not be in my best interest. I paid, I drank, and then I left!

If you present yourself as Mexican, or at least trying to be Mexican, you'll typically get the Mexican price.

I agree completely, but would point out that nationalities are not capitalized in español (nor are languages, the days of the week, or the months of the year; book titles and other titles only capitalize the first word), so what you really want is the méxican price, or even better, el precio mexicano, since in most cases, the adjective follows the verb (never the case in English, and not always the case in Spanish).

WhatsApp is used heavily in Mexico. It's worth having. No matter where I've been, it seems to be very dominant. Email is not the primary mode of communication, it would seem. I also suggest using Google translate, keeping it short and asking questions in Spanish, with a price in pesos. Once they quote the price, it's locked in. You can swap to English or "Spanglish" or whatever you're comfortable with. If you present yourself as a Gringo in dollars, you'll get the Gringo dollar price. If you present yourself as Mexican, or at least trying to be Mexican, you'll typically get the Mexican price..

Yes that's true about Whatsapp. Unfortunately my iOS and phone is actually too old to upgrade any further and as a result, I cannot run Whatsapp. I would imagine that if I did, then the Mileroticos girls would suddenly be options for me. So I'm kind of stuck and I am not paying the inflated rates of Cabo SanLucas. Maybe my San Jose del Cabo hotel guy or a cab driver might know of options. I might even try my luck at the strip clubs in San Jose.

WhatsApp is used heavily in Mexico. It's worth having. No matter where I've been, it seems to be very dominant. Email is not the primary mode of communication, it would seem. I also suggest using Google translate, keeping it short and asking questions in Spanish, with a price in pesos. Once they quote the price, it's locked in. You can swap to English or "Spanglish" or whatever you're comfortable with. If you present yourself as a Gringo in dollars, you'll get the Gringo dollar price. If you present yourself as Mexican, or at least trying to be Mexican, you'll typically get the Mexican price.

Seen another way, not long ago the peso was 10 to 1 dollar. These kinds of transactions are also still very often seen as 10 to 1. To this day, if you buy a hamburger in a Gringo-focused hamburger joint in San Lucas and all you have is dollars. You may very well get the 10 to 1 special.

I'd suggest that the same prices in pesos would've been quoted around $2500 mx, $1000 mx and $4000 mx, respectively. In reality, closer to $135, $55 and $220-ish (USD) for the first hour. Near half off. These are all generalizations, but I'm not too far off. I'd also suggest that Craigslist is largely intended to bait Gringos and milereroticos is for Mexicans. Backpage seems to usually be duplicates of milereroritos, so I don't bother paying attention to that.

So I did some browsing online and found some ads in Craigslist, Backpage and Mileroticos. I don't have Whatsapp so I'm limited by communications be email only with these girls. I narrowed the ads down to the Baja California Sur section and further specified those that mention San Jose in their ads since I would only be interested in any sessions while in San Jose del Cabo rather than in Cabo San Lucas.

Yes, there are 3 or 4 (or 5 or 6, they come and go) clubs in San Jose, exactly as described below. I've been to the one called "Colesio Night Club" (on the right side of the street, driving from San Jose to the Airport, on the main highway). All of these places are frequented by the locals. They're not really focused on gringos, like in San Lucas. Better prices and a wider variety, everything from 2's to 9's, mostly hovering around the middle. Some look like your mother and others look like gymnasts and cross fitters. A friend is a stripper at "Los Baldes". She's a solid 7. Definitely some options in San Jose, but it's a world apart from San Lucas. Smaller, dirtier and cramped, but loads of options at better prices than San Lucas.

There's nothing in Cabo Pulmo (but the diving is awesome, especially this time of year).

There's nothing in Todos Santos, but there IS a Strip Club / Brothel in Pescadero, the town next door. I can't remember the name of it, but just ask anyone in Pescadero. They'll know it. It's on the main highway and quite visible. Never been, but have heard good things.

The Hotel California in Todos Santos has nothing to do with the song (even though they play it endlessly at the hotel).

I'm less familiar with La Paz, but I do know there are clubs there, including a Lord Blacks. Several Love Motels and active listings on MilerEroticos. La Paz is also a very Mexican town. So, I assume the prices are much better than in San Lucas and probably cleaner than San Jose (the clubs, not the girls. I'd swear one San Jose club had dirt floors. The girls, however, looked very clean. The 7's to 9's were largely young, clean and fresh looking. The 2's. Weren't). Talk to a cab driver to get the skinny in La Paz. I am positive there are options. The sea-life in La Paz is amazing! Even if no mongering, La Paz has plenty to see!

San Lucas has big flashy clubs, with expensive prices and more "polished pros" (hard-bodies and bolt-ONS). There are also some nice agencies that charge about $125 USD for the first hour, then roughly $75 for each hour, after that. They'll come to you. Some charge extra for time / taxi fare to San Jose.

Typically, for a girl from a club / agency, if you get her number and meet outside / away from the club, as an independent, $50 USD to $75 USD is fair (plus a good tip $200 to $500 MXN). This is for an 18 to 25 year old 7 to 9. I have only ever seen one mind bending 10 in any of these clubs and oddly. It was at Coliseo in San Jose. She was occupied, sadly.

I do speak Spanish, so I assume this helps me navigate the area and connect with the girls, but this has been my experience in the area.

In Cabo San Jose, there were a couple strip clubs on the highway to the airport nestled amongst tire stores and auto repair shops, though not sure if they still are in business. I visited one of them in early 2014. There was a bit of talent at this particular club and some private rooms where I recall getting either a BJ and / or a lap dance. I do remember one attractive girl from the mainland wanted to come to my hotel after her shift, which ended at 3 am. Alas, I fell asleep so it never happened. Overall, it seemed like less of a hustle and cheaper than the Cabo San Lucas clubs.

As far as Todos Santos goes, Don Henley has denied on several occasions that their song 'Hotel California' has anything to do with the Hotel California located here though it's a nice hotel to take a look or stay. It also appears to me almost impossible to find any action in Todos Santos; P4 P or otherwise. Really dismal place.
