Hey Mongers, arrived on a Thursday evening early. As I posted earlier, I had one night to check things out before going to a resort for a wedding.

Found a scooting rental place, but their quote was $45 per day. Outrageous, but I tried and tried to get the price reasonable, but $40 was his best so I walked away. The next day there was another guy working there and I got it for $25.

Next I had to get rid of some dirty water. I tried to find some of the places posted on the forum, but no luck. I did not try too hard, but was recommended Bohemian club by taxi driver. The front door guy wanted $25 just to get in. I asked with drink and he said no. As I was walking away he offered $20. Then I said OK with a drink. So now I"m in. Sorry to say, but my experiences in Mex titty bars are that a high percent are full figured girls. This was also the case here, buttt. THere was one slim lady with a 9 body and 7-8 face (IMHO). She seemed like a nice girl, not too pushy and did not seem to be on drugs. It was $40 for 3 songs in a room and anything goes as long as you pay the girl. She wanted $200 to go to my hotel plus $80 for bar fee. For service in the bar, she offered $140 for full service in the room plus $40 for the house. My best negotiations got her down to $100 plus $40.

Seems like there's nothing but hate for mongering in Cancun but why? I know the prices are extremely inflated but is that the only reason or is there more to it like a lack of good establishments or female talent? If the the cost is high, that's one thing, but if its expensive and the girls don't even have good looks or talent then it just seems like a waste.

Also, why are there no more strip clubs in the Hotel zone? Did "the One" just close down for it's own reasons or did the city make it illegal for strip clubs to be outside Plaza 21?

If you were not comfortable going into the city than PrivateGuy gave the address of a Spa in the hotel zone. If you ask ANY cab driver in the hotel zone where to find women they will take you to Pleasure Principle which will give you a free tour / meet all the women.

If you had checked out any of these places and decided to pass because you didn't like the prices, the girls weren't up to your standards or whatever I would understand. Show a little initiative and report back what you find.

Spent a few days in Cancun last week. Didn't have a whole lot of time to explore but visited 2 places where action takes place. First one is Mary Cancun (reported earlier) MaryCancun. Com Bit overpriced for my standards (girls didn't want to go below $100. 00) and one has to go to the city. Other much better option actually in Zona Hotelara is the Spa located in Plaza La Hacienda, Kukulkan 7-th km on the 2nd floor. Been there on several ocasions while in Cancun, always left happy and never spent more than $50 + tip. Used to be operated by the nice old lady, but looks like it's now under a "new management". LOL. Several changes implemented. Place is bigger, roomier now.
