I don't mean this an an insult but I would think you have Asbergers by the way you rail on things that are not important. People aren't taking what they say seriously on here and don't care if it is true or not. It what people do. I think I am probably undiagnosable. For me it is things like having a very good memory for school work but not having a good working memory for doing something complicated yet common on a cash register for example. I never thought I had it for multiple reasons. One, it was not a thing when I was a child. I imagine they are teaching kids today how not to have the traits. You seem to know them. I got the J&J around six months ago and I don't know if I should get a booster or not. So J&J recently states that the first shot is "holding up" better than the mRNAs, and that the shot is still "highly effective," whatever the hell that means. At the same time, J&J still asks the CDC for authorization for boosters. LOL. Now NIH comes out with a study of 600 K vets that's says the "efficacy" (whatever that is, antibodies or T-cells or what have you) of the J&J dropped to a paltry 3%. Wow. So, I've been pumping iron everyday at the gym sans mask for the last 6 months and zippo dippo, no infection. So WTF? Booster or no booster? Unless of course Biden mandates the booster or declares that a single shot of J&J confers an unvaccinated status for air travel etc. Thoughts anyone?

I wouldn't fret. The 3% number doesn't mean anything and J&J is good enough for those reluctant to get the mRNA vaccines. The study to which you refer has limited use because it only reported Positive PCR "breakthrough infections." The PCR is considered the gold standard but in itself doesn't mean much if not clinically correlated. It is overly sensitive for population level use because it shows positive even when you are just shedding viral dna without any clinical signs. This study did not explore anything about these "cases" and goes against every other study that actually does evaluate efficacy by incorporating clinical metrics.

That study which news outlets like CNN irresponsibly reported was not peer reviewed and is destined to be deemed worthless once critiqued. The authors were a bunch of Child Development Epidemiologists (no clinical experience) and had no business putting themselves as the voice of this matter. Besides perhaps some nominal funding which the NIH basically funds all large national level studies, I don't think this study should be labeled an "NIH" study.

On the otherhand, after a second shot, the booster pushes J&J up to 94% efficacy against moderate to severe disease, right up there with 2 doses of the mRNA vaccines. I actually opted for the J&J booster myself after getting the Pfizer.

The biggest antibody rise is to mix and match so if you had a messenger RNA vaccine then use the Johnson vaccine for the booster.

Also if the Johnson vaccine is not available then switch brands of messenger RNA vaccines. I. E. If vaccinated with Pfizer then do the Moderna booster.

You can just start off with a new vaccine card no reason to tell them of your old vaccine. Then you can carry two cards around in case one is lost.
