I am an impartial observer in the vaccine debate. However, I have become aware of the strong criticism and vitriol that have been directed at anti-vaxxers. It seems that pro-vaxxers are very emotional about saving anti-vaxxers lives. Pro-vaxxers are very altruistic.

Sarcasm noted. Vitriol comes from the fact that they spread beliefs that are unfounded by sound science. I'm uneasy about the idea of mandatory vaccinations, mandatory anything for that matter, but understand that it is for the common good. I can understand if someone makes the "personal freedom" argument, but ones based on bullshit science is irritating, harmful, and perpetuate more ignorance and misinformation in the world.

It's not as if it is victimless behavior. While most vaccinated people remain protected, vaccines have minimum age requirements because a child's immune system is not properly developed until a certain age or they might require a series of vaccinations before immunization is achieved, leaving them susceptible until the final shot. Immunocompromised adults such as cancer patients and some senior citizens who cannot take vaccines are also at risk from these unvaccinated "Ebola monkeys" and their unvaccinated offspring.

Lastly, these people's actions keep the disease from being eradicated, forcing the rest of us to keep getting immunized. We no longer take the smallpox vaccine because it has been eradicated by vaccination. The polio vaccine is on it's way out the door and only exist in a handful of countries. Measles was on it's way out too, potentially eliminating one more infectious disease, until these 21st century antivaxxers derailed the course of good public health.

Nowadays they are testing way much more than in may. Only about 1% of all tests are positive, like in may. So no increase here. Positive also doesn't mean sick. The number of people in hospitals is today way much lower than it was in may. Berlin has over 3 million citizens, 200, even 10.000 daily positive PCR tests would be nothing in relation to the number of people. The PCR test isn't 100% accurate, I told about. You find with it also old, dead, inactive virus rests. We have 4 different Coronavirus, the PCR test can't differ. It is also not possible to meet anyone of these official positive tested persons, because their are isolated, "healthcare" authorities are watching over that nobody leaves quarantine. Healthy people with a positive PCR test are locked up! They still forcing people (even children) to get tested and for what? The thing with the brain and the thinking is not that difficult. Whats your secret to a long healthy life besides $50 pussy? You're telling me you've never taken a single vaccine in your life? Thats some BS right there. I don't plan on taking the vaccine for a few years not interested in being a Guinea pig and I also have the means / choice not to take it. But there are folks in a position that they possibly can't say no example health care workers or students if their school makes them take it.

I will wait at least one year before I even think about taking a COVID-19 vaccine once one becomes generally available. I don't think that will happen in the United States until next spring (late) or summer. If that means I won't be able to travel internationally, then so be it. The year 2020 has been a wash, but that's OK for me since I didn't plan to travel overseas for a change anyway in 2020. I'm prepared to take 2021 off too. No matter. I'll just keep building up a war chest of "funding". Then when the time comes, I'll be back on it! But, I need to take a "wait and see" approach on these vaccines they're rushing to market. When I'm convinced one is safe, then I will take it. Let somebody else be the "lab mice".

In European region, there were about 5,000 cases of measles in 2016,24,000 in 2017 and 84,000 in 2018. According to recent WHO data, there have already been 90,000 measles cases in the first six months of this year. And the US is experiencing its biggest measles outbreak for 27 years.

All this raises the question: why do so many people believe unproven theories over the informed advice of medical doctors and public health authorities?

I see people using the term "Guinea pig" as if the vaccines currently in development are not going through multiple phases of safety and efficacy trials with hundreds of thousands of volunteers prior to approval. The truth is that these vaccines, at least the ones to be approved by American authorities, are undergoing the same testing standards as other medications and immunizations. The difference is the speed in which the authorizing organizations are green lighting the trials to proceed and the fact that production has started prior to approval so that logistics of manufacturing does not delay distribution. Healthy skepticism is great but the flip side is being able to marvel at the fact that when bureaucracy and finances are eliminated, that the scientific community can develop a vaccine so quickly.

I second your criticism regarding the other poster though. With his line of thinking, polio, smallpox, mumps, and measles would still be ripping through society. Imagine all of the medical missionaries to third world countries that would have fallen ill without immunizations for yellow fever, typhoid fever, hepatitis, etc.

To date there have been 989,055 deaths from covid 19. I recently read this: "Up to 650,000 deaths annually are associated with respiratory diseases from seasonal influenza, according to new estimates by the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (US-CDC), the World Health Organization and global health partners. ". I don't know what to make of it.

Theres a flu vaccine if there wasn't the deaths would be higher. As for Covid theres a lot of social distancing and quarantine measures in place, the number is probably also lower due to lack of testing. Look at the US and Brazil https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries Brazil is doing about 80% less testing than the US yet has the same number of cases / tests per 1 Million. Trump 2. 0 is in charge there the number should be a lot higher especially in poorer countries.

Hey,

Is it possible to create a thread of the all the clubs and fill in if they are Open / Closed, Date to Open and rules. Then if we could keep it in it's own thread at the top of the German FKKs, that would be very efficient (we called threads/posts that remained at the top a sticky post/thread)? We had this in a fraternity form in college 12 years ago and it was amazing. It's better / more efficient then a reply in each individual threads.
