Typos are not all the same. Regarding that discussion, leaving off an O literally changed the entire thesis of the argument. I think judgement of attitude and what's tolerable is quite subjective.

Even to this day there is a restriction on the size of Germany's armed forces. So remove these restrictions and tell the USA to get its bases out. In Switzerland they decided to not add additional restrictions. Some smaller changes: reduce quarantine or isolation requirements to 5 days (not needed for people with vaccine or recovery in the last 4 months). They will watch the hospitalization rates, but didn't provide clear criteria when they would change the restrictions. While total number of hospitalization is rising, the numbers in intensive care are currently going down.

UK didn't either, and they absorbed the surge just fine. Seems more of a problem in France but still not proportionate to previous surges. Only worry for me is that countries who's population have not previously faced large surges will not do as well. Germany, with its decent track record so far might have a more immunologically naive population than UK.

I think governments will take another 2 months to process that Omicron will raise case numbers but not severity and death much more than the flu.

Many of our people's lives were in danger, and worse yet the good things they were working to help the locals in horrible spots around the world were endangered. I checked Youtube just now and see tons of Rogan's interviews. It must have been particularly egregious stuff that compelled Google to censor him on some clips.

The amount of peace dividend Europe enjoys due to the protection provided by the US is more than enormous. Man, your previous worry about Germany is starting to worry me a little. Before was just numbers but now increasing severity is concerning.

The whole situation really, really sucks man. I don't think it will be safe to plan an overseas trip to Germany at least until next summer. At least if you're coming from the States (or Japan) intent on mongering. I'm debating Germany or Brazil in 2022. I just don't know yet. This sucks!
