At the same time, let's be honest, Sweden may not have had an official government mandated lockdown but they did implement social distancing measures including mass efforts to work from home, 50 person gathering limitations were implemented, high schools students learned from home.

What's admirable is the people's self-imposed social distancing measures as seen in the reduction of leisure travel. Most nations in the world could not have expected their citizenry to do the same. No way you get Latin countries and the USA to be so disciplined without legislation.

Massive difference between those countries in terms of definition of CV19 deaths, population density, demographics, health status, immigration numbers, which all have a huge impact on the statistics. It is all a big totalitarian power grab from the politicians.

While perhaps those factors may explain some of the death rate differences between with Finland and Norway; not so sure Denmark has a significantly worse health status, more immigration, or lower population density which would have to be true to back your claims. As such, Denmark's deaths per million is around 100 to nearly 600 per million in Sweden.

I don't understand the Swedish fan boys here. As Mursenary said, there have been ten times more deaths in Sweden than in Norway or Finland, the neighbor countries which enforced a lockdown during the peak of the epidemy. Even your government says that they should have handled things differently. Do they brainwash you in Sweden?

In the US political and cultural wars in which Covid finds itself now, Sweden has been weirdly coopted by the Trump base. Just as they had coopted Brexit or the election of Marine LE Pen or even Victor Orban as one of their own, Sweden has become a cause celebre to Trump base due to their stance on opening and other issues. I am not going to sit here and judge whether Sweden did the right thing or not but I doubt that becoming a champion in fraternity and solidarity to the trump base is what the good Swedes had in mind. Hitherto if any one had celebrated Sweden in US it was mostly the liberals that did, pointing to Swedish and Scandi welfare societies as role models. Paul Krugman for example. I am sure Swedes are saying to Americans "leave us alone" LOL.

My postal mail gets delivered. It's usually something in writing. I understand that English is a difficult language to master when it's learned as a second language so a pass may be given. I think a joke that originated in Germany has a slim chance of being considered good.

It depends on how you define employment. In many countries (I'm not sure about Germany though!) if you work 1 h / week, you are considered in employment.
