I've been looking at the numbers, Germany is doing worse than any other country. This pandemic is weird. Hongkong is doing worse now than it has ever done since the pandemic began.

HK is via China, apparently in some cities in China, it is getting worse now too, but like this forum LOL there is censorship over freedom of speech and press in China by government, so we do not know the truth what is going on there! But in HK, there is some freedom of press left and it is international city, so we got to know the situation there!

But here in Tokyo, it is almost over, but all of us still wear masks and disinfect our hands etc upon entrance of shops and there is thermometer placed every entrance of building just in case as we believe when we loosen up, things get out of control just like in life and just like in German FKK LOL!

I do think, it is over soon though because virus is not as strong as it once used to be, it is becoming like influenza!

One may say lots of things about Russia but calling it a stooge of China is patently mistaken.

Covid 19 has kept me at home and indoors for 2 years now. I've spent much of that time reading world history. The history of Russia is absolutely fascinating. I was never taught anything like that in school. Russia has been attacked and brutalized throughout their history. The Mongols almost wiped them out. However, somehow they prevailed then and on many other occasions. In recent history Napoleon tried and eventually suffered a bruising defeat which saved Europe from him. Same for Hitler who caused the death of about 27 million Russians. One thing that cannot be said about Russia throughout their entire history was that they were anyone's stooge. To be a stooge the country of which you are a stooge must be more powerful than you. If the rest of the world gangs up against Russia today and there is a war then it will be the end of the world.

Yes, stooge was a mild exaggeration for now, for the purpose of ISG arguments which let's face it, are not academic debates.

That said, Russia is on the verge of becoming one.

RU is militarily powerful, true. Can they wipe out many people and in turn be wiped out? Yes. So can NK, China, Israel, India, Pakistan, many others. Once you know how to produce nukes, it is a matter of spending to make more of them, and the other part of the equation is delivery to a long distance destination in which case they can threaten anyone with extinction.

But does it all it take? Their economy today is a disaster, their currency is shot, and their technology besides armaments is non existent. If not for nukes, RU by the size of the economy, by per capita GDP, by various metrics of advancement, would be among the lower tier of nations. NK has nukes but many people starve to sleep every night, especially if not in the army. Does the ability to kill many people make NK superior to say, a Bulgaria, even Indonesia? I don't think so.

RU is a Chinese stooge because it is increasingly dependent on China to conduct their affairs. For supplies, for payments, for many other things. That gives China an enormous leverage over Russian affairs. There are even reports RU put off its invasion till the end of the cursed CCympics in China. To me, that makes Ru a stooge of China.
