Something to be said about case numbers, specifically Germany's relatively low cases. In fact, oddly much lower than all of their bordering nations to the east, west, north, and south.

Everyone in Germany needs to sacrifice for the sake of FKK. They need to avoid all covid testing except if a schnelltest required to enter an FKK. All these people testing at hospitals and doctors can just buy a can of oxygen and wait it out at home instead.

Which is less than 600 death one week before that (11 Jan) and less than 350 2 weeks before (4 Jan). Deaths in Germany going down. You should have spend less time with cars and ski and more time paying attention in school to see a bigger picture.

In France, some engineers schools are higher ranked than all our universities or architecture schools, best at school don't go to university but to best engineers or business schools and I was in one of the 10 best engineers schools in France on late 80's, with higher level than now. And as told my mum and some teachers: you could have better, but you like too much ski and cars, they were right. On further inspection against their neighbors, their positive result rate is second only to Switzerland, meaning they are less likely to perform screening tests and more likely to perform diagnostic testing. Therefore less asymptomatic positive cases being caught.

My optimistic conclusion:

Omicron is even more widespread in Germany than numbers suggests because asymptomatic cases are not being tested and recorded. With hospitalizations and deaths continuing to decline, Omicron is not having much of an effect on the German healthcare burden. This is actually really good news for Germany as they are likely pretty deep into the Omicron surge and that much closer to the end of the surge.

I went to Georgia Institute of Technology after high school. The order of prestige and ability went:

1. High level Engineering and Architecture majors.

2. Civil Engineers and Industrial Engineers.

3. Management and Building Construction majors (not actual engineers).

I just don't know what do expect in this crazy time they call ((Pandemic)).

Germans have always been slow to change once they've started something.

But I wasn't aware of an expiration date on the Hessen mandate. If so, I'm less pessimistic about my assumption. For now though, I plan on being in Europe soon and will keep Frankfurt off my itinerary unless it changes in the next few weeks.
