Two important points to mention about this sentence.

First point, "leaky vaccines". Leaky vaccines are vaccines that don't significantly affect transmission. Sadly for you, there are more and more studies showing that the current vaccines significantly reduce transmission. Initially these studies were not a priority, but now they are showing up.

Second point, leaky vaccines breed highly infectious variants, because they put evolutionary pressure on the virus. Even this is debatable, but let me just point that all of UK variant, South African variant and Manaus variant showed up before mass vaccinations in those areas, because, duh, the more the virus circulates, the more likely for a new variant to show up.

India has a new virus mutant now with both the L452 R (totally new) and E484 Q (also seen in a USA version). Both on the spike protein making vaccines less effective.

While the brutish 'Kent's mutation of covid in Europe now also has gained the E484 K mutation previously seen in SA and Brazil. Which makes it better at evading vaccines.
