Lockdowns have literally no good effect is stopping the virus. Look at California and New York as opposed to Florida and Texas. In fact long term lockdowns (anything more than a month) make people more vulnerable to the virus as their body (immune system) forgets how to fight against unknown pathogens.

Except that in order to improve your condition or to keep fit, you have to train regularly. And 2 or 3 weeks in a year is not what I call 'regularly'. Especially for endurance sports.
