I predict in two weeks Russia will be in a much better position with his 300,000 newly mobilized troops. Even if not trained, sending a bunch of fully automatic AK47 armed people at Ukraine will wreak havoc. Just parachute them behind artillery lines at least. Or have them all charge at once they will overwhelm the Ukrainians.

And Comrade P. Needs to take out all power and water facilities in Lviv and incediary firebombs to make that city a wasteland to prevent resupply from the USA and NATO. As time goes on Ukrainians will die at a lesser rate than Russians but Russia has ten times more people and it will prevail at the end.

The news reports that Comrade P. Will be able to use nuclear weapons since France stated publicly that it will not use nuclear weapons in retaliation for use against Ukraine.

That leaves Germany which has rented space to the USA for 20 missiles in Germany which is likely be the source of a retaliatory strike since the USA will hope the follow up strike will be against the silo location in Buchel, Germany (near Luxemburg and West of Frankfurt) instead of retaliating against the USA mainland silos in Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, and Colorado.

Saudi Arabia has as much interest as the United States in keeping Iran in check if not more. Probably more. They are bitter rivals with conflicting interests more misaligned than the American-Iranian relationship.

The two nations have a mutually beneficial and transactional relationship in both trade and defense.

Additionally, the relationship between the two nations is not as simple as you guys are depicting. Saudi decisions are made in concert with their regional Quad that includes Israel, UAE, and Egypt, all nations that keep Saudi Arabia from going rogue against US interests.

Recent Saudi actions regarding production could have easily been predicted. Saudi Arabia has been purchasing cheap Russian oil for months now. As such, a decrease in production was expected as they are using Russian oil to fuel domestic needs and producing less for export. That is a prudent move to keep prices stable considering the destabilization effects of low Russian prices. Crude oil prices have not moved proportionately to their announcement because due to import of Russian oil, a decrease in production will not yield a proportional decrease in export of oil.

Overblown political rhetoric that the Saudi monarchy is loving as it makes them appear more powerful than they are.

At the worst possible time for the Biden administration, OPEC Plus decided to cut production by 2 million barrels per day. Just in time for voters at the next midterm elections to see prices shoot up at the "gas pump". Fuel prices are expected to shoot up in EU. As we are finding out more and more, the price of crude oil affects the price of everything else. That food that we buy at supermarket, and the products we order on Amazon is not sourced locally. That is delivered to us by all that slow-moving traffic in the right lane that we dodge while driving on the autobahn.

To punish Saudi Arabia, some politicians in USA are calling for withdrawal of military support. My understanding is that jeopardises the Petrodollar system. If so, I cannot see how that would be prudent.

The whole petrodollar deal is basically propping up the USA. It allows the US treasury to issue treasury bills and the federal reserve to print money. The depression in Europe is worse than the USA not due to better management of the USA but due to lack of resources that Europe is not energy independent. Instead of natural gas, Europe should be reverting back to coal for heating and power generation. There is more than enough coal in Europe to keep it going without dealing with Russia. Moreover, there is more than enough oil in the USA that the USA could use its own oil if the drilling regulations were deleted. It is comical that drastic cuts of USA oil production happened and directly after same complains that USA is dependent on Saudi Arabia occur!
