It's hilarious that you think engineering is assembly line production. No dude, educated professionals know that production engineering is 90% design whereafter you outsource the grunt work to Asia and Mexico. Computer and electrical engineers write code and design circuits, maintain complex electrical infrastructure. Aerospace and mechanical engineers design and maintain large crafts, cars, etc. Chemical and materials engineers work on the production or advanced synthetics, fuels, etc.
