I got pulled over for a half stop at a stop sign on the main drag. The cops were driving an old Nissan Sentra which I could easily outrun.

He spoke a little English. I tried very subtly to offer him money by asking him if I could pay the fine on the spot, but he just ignored my offer. He was gonna write me a ticket until he found out I was a tourist living in a hotel. He took my driver license and told me to follow him to the Police station to see a judge.

I parked outside the station. The desk sergeant took my car key. I waited around to see the judge. The judge was a tough-looking guy wearing a leather jacket and cowboy boots in a small office inside the station. Must be real nice to have judges working for the PD. Bill Bratton must have been droolling at that scenario.

I told the judge the stop sign was obscured by the ficus tree, and that I did stop in the middle of the intersection when I saw the sign. He looked at me with disgust like he had heard the same lie many times. The truth was that I was trying to stop in the middle of the intersection when I saw the cop pulling up in his old Nissan Sentra. He told me $60 fine or car gets impounded, costing extra... I asked for a break. He reduced the fine to $40. I paid the fine and got back my car key. It took about 45 minutes.

6 AM the next morning, a cabbie took me from the hotel to the fishing boat. The whole town was still sleeping, there was virtually no traffic. He did something wrong on the same main drag, ended up with a motorcycle cop on his ass. He got a ticket. He was shaking his head, lamenting that the ticket was worth a couple days of his wage.

My impressions are that Ensenada cops are very strict but not corrupt. Whereas bribes are expected in Tijuana, you may get nailed for attempting to bribe in Ensenada. Just stay out of trouble and drive perfectly when in Ensenada.

Not true. Liability insurance is only required in Mexico if you are involved in an accident. With that being said, never drive in Mexico without good mexican liability insurance. If you do then you're asking for trouble.

The cops in Ensenada and Tijuana as well, always make threats to take you to jail or impound your car but it's only a tactic to scare you into paying a bribe. If you stand your ground they will usually back off. If not then you'll have to see the judge and possibly pay a fine.

On the other hand if you know that you have done something wrong that's more serious, like DWI or possessing drugs, then it's best to pay the cop a mordida and be on your way.

got in to ensenada 10: 30pm sat, grabbed some fish tacos, set out for some action. headed straight for noche de paris and the place was packed. took us 10 minutes to get a seat but what was odd was the place was 60% full of gringos and 20% older asian men. selection has fallen off lately but still the hottest girls in ensenada work here with bodies averaging 8's and faces 7-8's with the occasional 1 or 2 9-10's working the crowd. i didn't spot ceci and everytime i flagged a chica down she was snatched up by some other gringo. about 15 girls working maybe 18 tops. hard to compete with 2 bachalor and birthday parties. out.

my holland american cruiseship docked at ensenada and let passengers ashore about 7:45 pm (on 5 march - sorry for the delay). i walked through the souvenir shop on the dock by the side of the ship. right on the other side there were $2 shuttles starting a little after 8 pm that went to the main shopping area, which is also the main mongering area. in fact, the drop off and pick up spot was just around the corner from anthony's disco. this is a very good thing too, because street signs were conspicuous by their absence.

i wanted to try a massage parlor so i walked around the area looking for one. i noticed four, but they were all closed. i also saw the men's club, pescadores, and other places in my stroll, but none seemed active, at least as viewed from the outside.

i recognized anthony's right away by the big gorilla replica staring out from the roof. it was obviously open for business. i walked in past a man who seemed to be on anthony's staff. inside a short middle aged man ushered me to a table and took my order for a $3 diet pepsi. they spoke decent enough english. i didn't quite catch what he said to me when he came back with my drink, but it seemed to concern this girl on the other side of the room. maybe he was asking if i wanted her to join me. yes, sure, ok.

Myself and two fellow lizard brothers have just returned after a brief tour of the pink underbelly of the Ensenada strip circuit. Three good looking older men of means with an eye for the ladies and a near insatiable desire for fun. Ensenada is rapidly becoming one of the top destinations for our kind.

My first comment is that the general class of gals at all of the clubs we visited seems to have generally improved since we were last there four years ago. The selection of clubs has improved a bit and they all seem to have become "homogenized" in that they all have floor shows and private entertainment at all levels, whereas they used to have a particular edge over other clubs(better drinks at 1 place , better floor show at another, better looking gals, more levels of adult entertainment etc.).

Deny's/Pescador used to have a girl we called the Aztec Death Goddess - just coyote ugly - and some of the clubs had somewhat lifeless girls. This time we were all impressed with the general professionalism of the clubs. The gals at the clubs in Ensenada are near world class level. Some of the floor shows were even interesting - especially Hot Fox - where there's a babe with braided hair that can really circle the dance pole.

We noticed that Anthony's now has this large podium where the dance floor used to be but nothing else much has changed. Our two favorite spots is Anthony's and Hot Fox. My comrades really liked Hot Fox, which I thought was nothing particularly special - usual loud, old music (I think I heard the old Doors songs about 8 times in one night). But they have the upstairs where I know safe sex is not always practiced - $100-120 for everything - inc. sex onsite. I would rate these two clubs as having the better gaggle of girls.

Anthony's offers a more relaxed meeting atmosphere, as you can see the girls dance on the floor together, or at a bar for drinks - and I think this is OK as not every ho is a good dancer. . There was a younger ho in Anthony's - Sunny - who I still think about - never actually hooked up with her but she was young 20's and almost fresh looking. Isnt it funny that the one's I was with (which were great) don't stay on the mind like "the one that got away."

Anthony's fees: $100/$20 Bar fine/$15 room fee (hotel behind the bar) with Anoche and Hot Fox being near the same. The street gals are still around $40-60 plus a room - and they line up after dark. No experience to report there but a taxi driver tells us that Anthony's girls are relatively clean compared to all the other clubs.

Suggestions:

I read that a lot of guys are looking for some kind of GFE with these gals. If you really want a GFE you're better off just meeting a non-working gal. All these broads know what they are doing and that is to get the most cash out of you as possible. They will try anything to manipulate you to part from your funds; they will make you feel like you are their only "saviour"; they will make you feel cared for as they caress you and gently kiss you; they know many married American mongers no longer have the 'romance' in their marriage so they treat you with the closest GFE they can give you to make you part with your dough. Forgot to mention, when my girl was "working" I spoke to the other girls my friends were with and got the 411. I was told the VIP room was a 2 for 1 dance about 6 minutes for $20. A dance means you get to touch and kiss almost as if a "sample before you buy. "

Went down to Ensenada feb24-25 for fishing but got in too early for the boat. Friend of mine took 2 of us down to Noche de Paris to kill time and have fun. Place was "dead" according to him as there were maybe 15 girls working half were 6 or better the other half were below 4's. I don't hit many of these clubs so...

Is this normal? What gives? I'm above average looking, clean cut, and a doc, but no way she could know this.

On Wednesday I wanted to see if I could work out another date with my previous acquaintance from the P.D.N.

I had arranged to get a hotel room for the night with big bed, mirror on the ceiling, hot-tub, etc., and found one for about $40 US for the night and had it all stocked with goodies, and headed back to the Paris around 4:00 to see who was there.

I should point out that a pink teddy bear that I gave Cincy on arrival at the hotel sent her to the moon and back, and was the best $5 investment I could have made. I walked over to the Paris de Noche around 6:30, and found that I had arrived before any girls were on stage. While watching the first a cute and slim young girl sat next to me and began making nice. She had great English, and I sprung for a $50 ladies drink--prices noted here are in pesos at about 10 to 1 as I write.

After a while I opted for a $200 private dance upstairs. She candidly advised that two songs were about six minutes, and she proved a real gem. While in Ensanada for a few days I went to Anthonys. It was as good as it gets. Every beer I drink they brought me free tequilla. The chicas were 5 and 6, not realy fat chics. I stayed next door at Hotel 49 for 27 bucks. When they close at 3am I got a chica for 45 bucks for 2 hours.
