I've rented a vehicle from Hertz, about a year ago, and driven into TJ. I asked around and it seems Hertz is the only rental company that will let you drive the vehicle into Mexico (within 50/60 miles of the border). They charged a little extra and had to purchase the mexican insurance.

Most of the car rental companies do not allow thier cars to be taken into a foreign country. So you should check to make sure they allow it.

The other thing is just to do it, and hope for the best.

What does it take to drive over the border in a rental car via TJ? I am considering driving down to Ensenada over Cmas and would like to know what documents I will need to get across with a rental car. Having lived in SD for a number of years (a long time ago) - I will spend a few dollars and buy mexican insurance for the duration of my trip...

After a recent trip to the Ensenada manfacturing companies, that my company sent me on, I drove and stopped in downtown on my way there, the down side is was before noon. Anthony's was dead, but Deny's had a wonderful treat in store.

Tami, slightly darker skin, mid 20's, curly hair, slim build. No tat's, maybe 1 kid, but ut was hard to tell. No piercings. There isn't any SW scene in Ensenada to speak of. You can find the occasional SW milling near Miramar and Lopez Mateos, around the Paris or Jacaranda clubs, but it's the exception rather than the rule. Further east on Miramar you may find a couple more SWs, but you're more likely to find drug dealers and TV/TSs.

The problem is that Ensenada has no separate zona rosa, and the clubs like Anthony's and Jacarandas and Paris are right smack in the middle of the tourist area on Lopez Mateos, so they try to be discrete and keep a relatively low profile. Drugged out SW's soliciting in miniskirts in full view of June and Ward Cleaver, not to mention Wally and the Beave, don't do much for the cruise ship trade in Ensenada. As a result, there are few if any visible SW's hanging out in those areas.

Anthony's (the place with the gorilla out front) is ground zero for finding attractive chicas in Ensenada. It will cost you between $60-100 for the girl, plus the bar fine, to get her out door. Normally, the Anthony's girls are okay with coming to a customer's hotel room, but most of the tourist hotels are only a couple of blocks from A's, so it's relatively safe for them. I don't know how they'd feel about heading out to a trailer in a campground.

Hi, I want to know who knows about the SW scene in Ensenada?
I am thinking about going down there in a few weeks and will probably be towing a camping trailer to stay in for the few days I have to spend down there.

Anyway rather than leave the truck and trailer somewhere while I sit in a bar or pay for a room with the girl I want to find action that I can take right to my trailer.

What do you guys think, I do not have any experiance in Ensenada, but I do have alot of exp. in Mexico.

Well I am from LA and I usually hit Panama for fun, but a friend convinced me to hit mexico. So we took a over night trip. we
Hit Ensenada for the 1st time. Well i have been their 2 times b4 but I came with ready made action (girlfriend). This was my 1st mongoring trip to ensenada. Just returned from Ensenada, where I stopped in for the afternoon. Deny's/El Pescador is open, although I was told by the bartender that the dancers don't get rolling until 7:30 p.m. or so. Mid-afternoon at Jacaranda's, just east of Deny's, was okay, with about five dancers of varying quality. J's has private booths in the back for lap dances and a special room in the front for FS. I went to a massage parlor called Escorpions the other day. You can get the address and telephone number out of any of the free newspapers in Ensenda. (That's how I found it.) I had saved the ad with the intent of putting the number and address in this report, but I lost it. It is located in the southern part of Ensenada past downtown. I just called on my cell phone and the girls directed me there. (I live in Baja and have a Mexican Cell phone so this wasn't expensive for me.)
