Santa Coyote, Sol12's recommendation, is also worth it. The way the place is laid out and decorated is fantastic. The food's good too. You'll need to take a taxi there.

For women, check out Estetica Rape while you're there if you're not too price sensitive. It's very close to your hotel, maybe 5 minutes on foot. And if you do, please report back. It used to be the cream of the crop of GDL estetica's, and maybe still is. If you're worried about staring eyes, you'll bypass them completely by going to Rape.

Going to have to take these recommendations for myself. I think I'll stop by for a simple cleanup (haircut and elsewhere). Hopefully she cleans it all up. Thanks for the intel. If I go, I'll report back!

Anybody had any trouble getting a girl past staring eyes and / or security at Riu Plaza Hotel?

I'm staying there at the end of March and I'd like to have the girl meet me in the lobby and take them up. I understand from some I've read here that you have to have a key to get up the elevator but I'm just wondering how easy or uncomfortable it will be to get the girl to the the elevator? Do you really need a SIM card? The last time I travelled internationally, I just called my provider and they gave me phone and internet for $10 daily. Is that available in Mexico too?

I have T Mobile and have the exact same service in Mexico as I do in the USA at no cost.

Your best bet is to get a replacement SIM either from an OXXO or a Telcel. If you go downtown to explore stop at the Telcel right next door to the OXXO store which is not updated in google maps, in Plaza Tapatia. If you search Google maps it comes up as Centro de atencion al cliente telcel.

Go into the Telcel, get a number and wait for your turn to be called. I got a 6 GB telcel SIM for $28 USD that lasted me a week. If you go to the OXXO for your SIM make sure you load up enough data so you don't run out at a bad time. The OXXO SIM I got quit working without much notice.

Hey my recommendation would be Farmacia del Ahorro. You can easily make an appointment online for the nearest pharmacy. The appointment can also be done in English and the test results are in English and Spanish. Price wise 299 mxn.

Introducing myself here, first timer to GDL flying in on the 30th as well. I have to say, this forum has been a huge resource to me in planning out my trip, even prompting me to go to GDL instead of CDMX. Have been to CDMX a few times for business and escorts are great there but I'm excited for a change. I will say that the estetica masculinas and their abundance in the city was a major factor. The short time motels are very popular with the locals because married men need a room for a short term for their sessions. There are many of them and escorts actually prefer them because they don't have to worry about hotel policies. In fact, some escorts will only go to short term motels near them. Everyone knows what the short term motels are for so no walk of shame. I passed on CDMX because GDL just seemed easily to find online girls and good agencies and it is easier city to get around.
