I've never done a mongering trip except for Tijuana a few times. I've been wanting to visit this city for quite some time. I am Mexican American, so I got the language down. Not sure exactly who you are following on Twitter but the deposit is usually just a small amount. It's very simple to deposit the money you just go to a Oxxo which is all over and give them the account # and how much to deposit. It's not rocket science. T-mobile has a North American plan that includes Mexico and Canada for 10 us a month. You just connect to the Telcel network when you land and your good to go. I imagine all carriers have something similar. Getting a telcel pay as you go type of sim is the cheapest option. Don't forget to take your passport. I was asked for mine the last time I went that route.

In GDL now and it's great to be back. Most everything is opened back up so lots of fun. The Uber prices have gotten out of control. They wanted 600 pesos from the airport. So I looked on inDriver and offered 250 and was picked up in 10 min. Got the drivers # to take me back to the airport when I leave for the same price. Highly recommend this app if you visit.
