I noticed Mexico still is listed as essential travel only. Are there any issues when traveling now to Guadalajara in terms of being questioned? I assume also any time before Christmas and New Years are likely to be bad times to visit due to holidays and the ladies home with families etc.

I just returned from my latest trip to GDL. We visited for Day of the Dead. Stayed at Hotel Love it Consulado in Americana neighborhood. The hotel was very nice, in a great area with lots of options for restaurants and bars nearby. There is even a night club across the street. Staff is excellent and most can speak some English.
