My old phone is a no go, was going to buy a sim down here for it. I was able to get Whats's app working on my work phone. Spent a rainy day in PV to figure that one out, because I got a travel upgrade on my existing plan I need to add +52 to the numbers posted on sites, downside is because it's a foreign # some places will just ignore me. I am starting to get the hang of google translate which leads to another question-when contacting an agency well they answer text? Or are you expected to call?

I did think about just buying a new cheap phone here but that may not be so easy as not many English speakers here.

I had a bit of a walk about today, seems that if you see a lineup it's either a bank or cell phone provider.

Besides I do want to spend sometime looking around.

Whats app will also stop working on Android versions 2. 3. 7 and older after February 1, 2020 and iPhone iOS 7 and older after February 1, 2020. It's already withdrawn support for operating systems such as Nokia Symbian S60, Nokia Series 40, BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10.

Seems my cell phone does not work anymore with what's app. I arrived in Mexico a few days ago and will be in Guadalajara tomorrow.

From what I see it will be hard to hook up without what's app. I don't speak Spanish.

Any ideas on the best way to proceed?
