A few years ago in DF, in the morning walking La Merced. After I did the deed with a SW, I got picked up by a crooked cop. He put me on the back of a truck and after driving around he got me for 500 pesos. Then they let me go. (I had more money but that's all I had in my pockets).

How's the situation here in Guadalajara? Is it the same? Should I carry "mordido" money? Do the police even walk around on foot like they do in DF? I like the SW scene, so that's my preferred mongering type.

I personally have never had any encounters with the police in GDL. You will see them driving around, but I've never been stopped by them. I rarely have seen them on foot; GDL doesn't really have a main walking thoroughfare and the mongering spots are pretty spread, so your odds of running into them are low, at least in my opinion.

Yea, if you are concerned with money you shouldn't be in GDL in the first place. Medellin is the better option if you want bang for your buck. Got to pay to play in GDL.

So true. GDL has some great strip clubs, super fun. We went to one that had a live bad that was really good, but it can get expensive quickly.

Well you happen to be looking in the cheapest places so you basically get what you pay for. Besides most Mexican men like bigger girls and since the estéticas are just for afternoon quickies the looks aren't that important. Also if your an attractive girl why would you want to work for such little money. Depending on your budget you can spend a little more with some agency girls, girls on Twitter some can be very hot but they will cost more. You can also go to the strip clubs, GDL has many and lots of girls from South America.

I saw some bike shops that may rent bikes on the main boulevard where on Sundays mornings the city allows bicyclists to ride this road and others in main part of downtown.

Can anybody recommend a place to rent a bicycle other than MiBici? I read that when you rent with MiBici you have to park / exchange the bike in their stall every 30 minutes. That can be a pain planning short trips every time.

Which motel would you recommend if Jacuzzi / Hot Tub is of high priority? I am staying in Col Americana. Anything nearby which has a clean Jacuzzi?
