My goto hotel that is central to most things is Hotel Portobelo, guest friendly as well, with small onsite bar with music some nights. Fairly priced, best prices seem to be online versus at counter.

UncleAl, reading your previous posts you frequent Tijuana and prefer SW. GDL is not setup like Tijuana at all. GDL has a very small SW area, with the lowest of low selling their wares. The girls there are nowhere near the quality you can find in front of the motels in Tijuana. My opinion of course, the action in GDL revolves mostly around escorts, estiticas (msg places, that cut hair, some do) and music and dance venues, then the table bars (strip) that are a huge waste of money IMHO.
