    Safe options near the airport?

With the demise of Mexicana, last year I wound up spending lots of nights at the hotel at the GDL airport, because the late flights I used to catch were gone and the next possible option left early the next morning. Generally I sit in the hotel and watch TV, and get work done, but if there was a convenient and relatively safe option nearby, I might be up for other entertainment options. Anybody got any nearby favorites that don't entail a trip into the city?

Rainy season shoold not affect your trip!

Rains not constant should not affect your trip at all. Bus travel no problem. Try GDL hotel I recommended to you in June.

Does anyone have first hand knowledge of how intense the rain can be and if travel by bus to Mexico City and Acapulco will be as issue?

I've looked online but someone who is actually on the ground would be better suited to answer IMO.

Thanks. Been there all September, GDL, Mexico city, Acapulco, sure some heavy rains but not consatant should be a problem at all with bus travel. Enjoy your trip go GDL hotel I recommended to you!

For those who can read Spanish this article in Milenio newspaper is an excellent remark of the pseudo puritanism, double moral and hypocrisy that exists in Guadalajara (and Jalisco state) toward sex, high government officials (both male and female) were caught in shameless sex parties and some even were accused (with evidence) of having sex with girls at bars who were minors; using both traffic of influence and abuse of power.

    Original article:

    http://impreso.milenio.com/node/9008475

    Translated English Google version :

    http://translate.google.com.mx/trans...node%2F9008475

Those are the very same government officials that condemns prostitution among consenting adults and promote conservative "family values" such sex after marriage only and no use of condoms in sexual relations due religious fanaticism.

    Bunch of Hypocrites !!!!

I didn't indulge in any non-pro activity. Being Mexico, gringos are not so much an unusual sight. That being said, I hardly saw any non-Mexicans around in my days in GUA, and I did notice the occasional glance from women coming my way, not because I'm so damn pretty, just blue eyed and exotic looking. And I know enough about Mexicanas to know that many prefer a gringo over a local, due to attitudes emerging from the machista culture and all. Happy hunting!

Guadalajara: fun times, even though it's not a top notch destination

i'm heading off to puerto vallarta after spending 4 days in guadalajara. a non-monger friend said it was a great destination for cultural sightseeing, more on that later.

since this is a mongering site, let me state for the record (imo) that gua is not a great mongering destination. it is not even two notches below the great places in latino america that i've been to in the recent past. but, as they say, money is the best aphrodisiac, and if you have money, legs will magically pry themselves open for the right price. and gua is no exception, with some bargain basement prices i found.

let me say a few words about gua as a vacation destination. if you want to do some nice sightseeing and get a flavor the history and culture of mexico, book a 3-4 day vacation in downtown gua in the historic centro area. you could fill your days with architectural and museum viewing, interesting shopping (in the largest open air market in latin america, with great food). if you are familiar with diego rivera, the great mural painter of mexico (and husband of frida kahlo. salmita!) , the murals of juan orozco in two buildings downtown are even more amazing (and larger). and you should also check out tlaquepaque, a satellite city in the eastern district that is truly a cool artist colony, a kind of sante fe, nm, but with roving mariachi bands. two thumbs up to the restaurant chai, kitty corner from the holiday inn on avenida juarez. cool, hip place to hangout, have a coffee, chai, snack or full meal at ridiculously low prices. also heard of another nice artisan colony tonala', but didn't make it there.

ok, for those of you have managed to stick thru a whole paragraph without talk of p*ssy, you will now be mildly rewarded. before leaving, i prepared best i could by data mining the sparse posts in this forum. in another post i will do a listing post to sum up the findings wt69 style.

for gua, the 4 main areas of action are 1)"estetica masculinos" 2) independent chicas 3) strip clubs 4) short time hotels with fugly women. an estetica masculino, which should never be mistaken for the feminine kind, is basically a barber shop that sometime in the gua past also turned into a bordello. now follow along: "shave and a blow-job, two bits". some actually still have barbers and some give up on the pretense of metrosexual improvements. they're basically like a colombian casa. for the independents, you can find them in two main places: 1) internet sites 2) the classified of the metro newspaper, readily available at newspaper stands. seems like the strip clubs are clustered either downtown or on the way to airport (seems to be true of many cities).

so here's my experience, which is not much but i'm sure it will be helpful to some. i booked several nights in the avenida juarez holiday inn, a good choice for being close to the historic sightseeing areas, but not a good choice for mongering. the lobby is a long, narrow corridor by which the front desk has a perfect view of who's coming and going with a roving guard guy with a wire coming out of his ear. so i never tried chica delivery service, though some before me have. i suspect that they'll have to sign-in and such, but i didn't want to bother with potential hassles.

    estetica #1: mediterraneo.

    -

the first estetica i went to was mediterraneo. this is on avenida ninos heroes. just locate the hotel mision carlton. the estetica is across the street and about 20 yards to the left (west). big sign for the place, nestled between 2 rental car places. i went in on a sunday and was greeted by a stocky but 5. 5 pretty young lady. of course, i asked to see a lineup, and the women were fairly ordinary looking. but then a cute little spinner suddenly appeared and i said to myself,"who she?". she was angie, a 4'11'.41 kg cutie. think a mixture of chick in a girl band and a hentai girl, latina style. she had bangs with long hair and colored the top of her head gray, and somehow it worked, because was pretty enough. she also had blue-gray eyes, very rare in mexico. she took me upstairs to the room and asked me to pay the bill, which is 540 pesos. before you go running to oanda. com, that is 45 dollars. for that kind of price, i kept my expectation low, but angie went beyond 45 bucks worth. firstly she has a cute little spinner body, and despite having one baby she has a *flat* stomach. permit me a sec to rant about the epidemic of fat women or women with substantial "panzitas" or "barrigas" in mexico, what we call a gut. god, it's awful and not only painful to the eyes, it's unhealthy. in any case, the flat belly and big nipples were a nice plus for angie. i thought she was very excited when i saw the nips, but no, she just has really big nipples for a spinner.

in any case, after the lame, perfunctory massage we got down to business. she did give me a cbj, but the tongue piercing, as well as tongue skill, made it better than expected. she at first didn't like me going near the y, claiming cosquillas / tickles, but i went real slow and suave and she eventually relented. she was playful during s*x, and offered different positions. the one big bummer was that the room had no ventilation and was like an oven, and i thought i had better finish this before i pass out, so i got her in doggy, put one hand on one shoulder another on a nalga, and used her like a large organic s*x toy. job complete. after a shower, and serenade to her of the rolling stones angie ("you can say we're satisifiiiyed") , which she knew, i gave her a big tip, and she was so happy about it, she said both gracias and zenk yu and gave me a beautiful ending smile. i walked back out into the bright gua sun happy and blown away that i just paid a mere 45 clams for so much fun with a cute 6-7 spinner.

    strip club: titanic blue.

    -

from both internet searching and actual leg work, i located three strip clubs within walking distance of my holiday inn: 1) titanic blue on ramon colon 2) kristal, on the street "16th of september", right next to the teatro diana 3) lipstick: on calzada independencia norte. 83-a, just one block north of hidalgo, on the west side of the street. ballons decorate the entrance. (note: hidalgo / republica is the demarcation line between independencia norte and sur.)

one night, against my better judgment, and to satisfy my curiosity, i walked to titanic blue, which is south of avenida juarez on ramon colon. it was 11:30pm and the streets were empty, but i did not feel unsafe in the area. as soon as i stepped in, i was already getting annoyed. when you're the only gringo on a weeknight, you're sure to be a target for all sorts of upselling, getting nailed to a particular chica, etc. after getting frisked (and missing the navaja / knife in my left pants pocket) , i was shown to a table. an admittingly cute chica was in the final stages of taking all of her clothes on stage amidst the loud, thumping music. several groups of mexican dudes were around enjoying the view and of course, nothing more. i was told there was a two beer minimum of 6 bucks each. no sooner than 3 minutes go by when they plop a chica in my lap. now, some days when i'm home alone and the thought of a 6-7 level chica is rubbing her soft butt into my chest, it would be a nice fantasy, but the reality of the hard sell was having the opposite effect. not only that, her breath was lousy and she was blocking my view of another chica totally naked rubbing her exposed y up and down the pole (natural greasing?). the mexican guys loved it. my chica was named naomi, and she seemed to have blue eyes also (i asked her about colored contacts and she said no) , and was kinda cute, but she and a pushy waiter were trying to get me to go upstairs for a private showing and of course, mas dinero to be spent. finally, when it was naomi's turn to dance, i bolted to the door, paid for my 2 beers (and 1 for her) , and got the hell out of there. who knows, if i was hornier or i followed thru with naomi upstairs, it all would have been fine, but it wasn't that night for me. as they say, your mileage may vary. but i certainly saved myself a lot of bucks that night.

    estetica [CodeWord123].

    -

first, a quick rant. although gringos do go to this place, it is mostly for rich guadalajaran businessmen (busy time post 6pm according to my chica). but still a little due-diligence on the name please! feels strange going to a place with a name with such negative connotations, and would be as weird as a brothel in the usa named violacion. but for the record, it is mexico, the word has no special meaning there, and it has a spanish pronunciation, which is "rah-pay".

important info, the address: 2934 lazardo cardenas, jardin de bosque, gua. do a google map search on it and you will find a nice picture of it. almost directly across this very busy highway is the estetica high class, which in contrast to [CodeWord123], is very easy to find, because its building is painted in red with giant "high class" lettering. [CodeWord123]'s location is much more subtle. it is on the access road and the building is slightly back from the road, and as such, there's a parking lot in front. perfect location for the businessman that doesn't want to be seen.

another note: it is just past a little traffic circle on the access road and be careful of the numbering on the houses. my taxi driver had a hard time finding it (on the side, when i hopped in the cab, i noticed an unusually excessive number of rosaries and jesus pix, and thought i would get a negative vibe from him, but as i got out of the taxi, he slyly smiled at me and said 'suerte! '. hombres son hombres, no?).

[CodeWord123] is really a nice looking place, and it is really an estetica, with a beautiful, tastefully appointed lobby and a real barber shop in the first room past the lobby. poor barber guy, probably doesn't have much work during the day. anyway, the nice helper lady led me to a large room with a solid, from the floor, built-in massage table with a sauna and shower. she asked me if i wanted i sauna and i responded that the afternoon summer sun in gua already was enough of a sauna. so she told me to prepare for a lineup, and it was quite a lineup. all 30 women who work there were available at 4pm on a tuesday, and a dazzling display of feminine beauty from 6-8. 5 (always subjective, of course). i was parked in the doorway of my room surrounded by 30 dolled up women in a semi-circle waiting for me to choose. i made a joke, like "so much beauty that i'm dazzled", and watched what the reaction was. strangely enough i found myself saying "la primera", the first woman who came by to say hello, in the lineup, amelia, a 23 yr old hottie, gorgeous face, nice bod, long jet-black hair.

it didn't dawn on me till about 5 minutes later that i realized i just picked a woman who looked just like a medellin paisa. for latinas, they're a gold standard, no? in any case, it became apparent that the beauty <- service correlation was going to be in full force here, lots more rules, no daty, heaven forbid i mess her makeup, etc. quite a contrast to the humble and grateful angie at mediterraneo. but in the end, having her in doggie, and pounding this beautiful young creature is still better than a good day at the office, no? it was enough to finish me off. the damage was 1200 pesos (100 dollars). first and last time with amelia, but would i go back to [CodeWord123] again? abso-frickin-lutely. the key is to get there when the gua businessmen are all working, and the best lookers are available. if you can't find something that you like in that lineup, as least in the looks department, then you shouldn't be mongering in gua.

    short time hotels.

    -

if you walked around the neighborhood where calzada independencia and hidalgo / republic meet, there are several short time hotels on independencia and on one or two sidestreets. the ladies are in the doorways or in the lobbies waiting and i could see them as i slowly walked by in the late afternoon. nothing that i would pay for and to be honest, not many for whom i do for free if i had the chance. but of course there's always diamonds in the rough, just didn't see any for those moments i passed by.

When I got there in the cab, the cab driver told me be careful because its a dangerous area. And when he said that I told him just to take me back to my hotel, I did not feel like watching my back and worrying about someone trying to get me. So I went home and went to bed by myself.
Another good post. What do you mean by " a place to go with women for gdl?" What does gdl refer to and is this a street walker scene or what did you understand the set up to be?

    One Way Ticket To Guadalajara

Back to mexico ($261 AA from NYC through Dallas). I am a gluton for punishment.

I will start my trip in guadalajara then head towards Mexico city and then who knows.

I am looking forward to my time in Mexico city. I really want to conquer that city. No promises though.

that's a tough one. given that you live in thailand and price is a consideration (prices for the best pfp options in gdl are similar to the usa) , your best bet might be to stick with krispy kreme. taxi fare from the airport to downtown is around $20. it's more to zapopan, less to tlaquepaque.

there are a number of table dance clubs on the road between airport and downtown that are open at night along with a lot of short time hotels. these clubs are reasonably priced by guadalajara standards. i've had a car and never tried to pursue this option in a taxi, although i think you could pull it off without your own car.

during the daytime there are the esteticas masculinas or massage parlors. compared to places on, say, ratchadapisek road, the women are ugly and the facilities are run down. you'll pay from $40 for 30 minutes at some of the cheaper establishments to a little over $100 for an hour at my favorite, [CodeWord123]. read the thread for more info.

if you're leaving in late afternoon, please be aware that mexicans eat lunch late. you may not have time to get back for your flight. my favorite restaurants are la matera, el jockey house grill, aniti li and i latina. you might have some trouble getting a taxi from the last two on my list, and the food has a bit of an oriental flare (maybe not desirable considering where you live) , so you might want to scratch them. if you're going for lunch, i'd recommend you go to tlaquepaque. this part of guadalajara is close to the airport and has some really good restaurants. i don't remember their names, but el abajeno there is fun and has typical mexican food, although the food is not quite as good as some of the other places in tlaquepaque.
good info; gracias, korb khun khrap. now waiting for the phone to ring for the next trip.

Anyway, I am usually in GDL for less than a full day, usually arriving in the early am and heading back to LAX late afternoon; really the wrong time of day and not enough time to play.

There have been two times when I had overnight layovers, staying at the airport hotel. Honestly, I was reluctant to venture out into a city I didn't know without an experienced wingman. Money is an issue and I was reluctant to put myself in the mercy of a taxi driver.

First question: what is the average cab fare from the airport to a desirable section of GDL. Is there a less expensive way to get into the city from the airport? I looked for bus info or tour info in the airport but couldn't find any.

Second question: If I only have one night, or a full day, what is the best area to head for? I probably won't do any mongering since Thailand is so much cheaper and girls are so plentiful but looking is always fun and I am SOOO sick of the airport BK and Krispy Kream. Just the chance of some local Mexican food would make the trip worthwhile.

It does tick me off that I have been to GDL 6 times and have never left the airport. Any info you can give me on making the best of the time I have without spending a lot would be great.

BTW; my last time through two weeks ago, Immigration at the airport was a total fucking zoo! 0630am, about 1000 people and zero crowd control. Two agents were stamping the foreigners. It took me almost 4 hours to clear! I never have experienced anything like it. Lots of pushing and line cutting, several fights and many fainting lady's. Security did absolutely NOTHING to maintain order. Does this happen often?
I too am totally sued to Bangkok! I'll be GDL Saturday! Hope to find the answers to all our questions! I hope immigration is less insane when I get there. After that long flight I'll be in no mood for chaos. BTW, I hear mongering is similar to Thailand in terms of price and type
