Hello to all the fellow Mongers out there. This is my very first post but have been laying in the background for a while and picking up tips and the do's and don't's of the lifestyle. I live in Guadalajara for 3 years now and until recently really never visited the esteticas at all. But here is what I have picked up from just being me out here for quite a while. Remember that I am completely fluent in spanish and I think it is a HUGE advantage at times. One thing I think that the forum does not address at all is the club scene. Its really really big here. There are clubs/bars that you can walk into on any given night and find what you are lookin for without breaking a sweat and not breaking the bank. One of the favorites of locals and foreignors alike is Wall Street Bar on Las Americas en Colonia Providencia. Tues. Nights all the drinks are two for one and the chicks are all drunk by 12am. Another club is Bosse where on Sat. Nights bottles are two for one and last Saturday it seemed wo where the tapatias! There are more but those are probably the ones most friendly to non English speakers since getting in the door at the club takes some cajoling even to the the natives! The esteticas I have been to Clinica Monsiuer (Lopez Mateo sur 123 Colonia Arcos)---Cindy (really cute but won't let you pound) and Vanessa (young and will come to the hotel or apt. For the right price and do just about anything and anyone). Went to High class and got served be Jillian (? ). Good service and was not watching the clock, we must have been up there an hour and a half. At Mediterraneo acroos fom the Mission Carlton on Ninos Heroes) en el centro the girls are ok. But the good thing is they are only 460 pesos (46 dollars) and they don't care about time it seems. The first time I went there got scooped up by a chick named Julie (cute great service) and she let me go for another round on the house. The second I went really late (yesterday) and all the girls were ready to go home which is understandable. Who doesn't want to go home at the end of their shift? ! ? So I looked the oldest chick in the place up an down and said what the hell! GREAT decision! Nelly was about 36 years old and her body had a nice shape. She is about 5'3" and treated me like her boyfriend of about 5 years. She took great care of me! Anyway that about it for now. I phave got a lot more to share and will do so later I know these things can get long and don't want to take up too much of everyones time.

I appreciate your imput, Talosian and Monger X. I rented a casa in Ajijic, and am also staying in TLQP for a few nights. I have played the Chapala course many times, and also the small course near San Antonia, between Chapala and Ajijic. Looking forward to it.

Taxis in GDL are often an adventure. I try to find a driver who speaks some English, but that is not always possible.

I am becoming excited about my trip, and visiting HC and other providers.

I normally take a taxi from TQUE to the HC area. I normally pay about 60-70 pesos. Is that reasonable?

60-70 pesos sounds quite reasonable to me..I paid 180 from the airport to HC area and 100 from an industrial park near TLQP back to the same area.

I am planning my fourth visit to beautiful GDL and the Lakeside area for mid Sept, and plan to visit some spots in the city. I have gone to HC several times in the past, plus other like businesses in the area. I have also visited the "Orange Door" peviously mentioned, and been fortunate enought to catch a local for a quickie in the Historic district. If I do say so myself, not bad for a non-Spanish speaker!

I will be staying in Tlaquepaque, and am looking forward to the 16 de Sept activities. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I normally take a taxi from TQUE to the HC area. I normally pay about 60-70 pesos. Is that reasonable?

As I am considering retiring to the area, I am trying to check out all seasons. I know this is late in the rainy season, and want to play golf in the area in Sept. I normally play at Chapala CC when I am Lakeside.

Any imput from you experienced mongers would be sincerely appreciated.

i visited only two places in guadalajara the last week of june: a strip club and a brothel, though there the brothels pose as “male beauty salons” or “estéticas masculinas.”

i had planned on going to the sc boom boom based on recommendations here, but on discovering that a trip there by taxi from the city center would cost 100 pesos, i decided to pass. for the return trip after midnight, they probably would have charged me 150 or more, and since i have three sweet, little, young things waiting for me in my little neighborhood casa de citas in oaxaca, where they charge only 300 (us$27), i figured it wasn’t worth it to pay 250 just for the taxi ride. so i went instead to a sc closer to the center, which a cabbie said wasn’t too expensive.

the strip club juniors is in the nearby neighborhood, tlaquepaque. a sort of expensive 60 pesos for the taxi trip there and 80 back to my hotel. and the club wasn’t as economical as suggested to me: it is a small, yet glitzy place, a “men’s club,” for rich businessmen. cover on a thursday night was 100 pesos, which includes a table dance (don’t forget that you get a free table dance), though i believe on weekends the cover might be more, like 160. you need to buy at least 3 beers, at 50 pesos each, or i guess 150 pesos total for any other beverage. chica drinks start at 180 pesos. privados cost 350 pesos for 5 minutes. going to a room with a chica for sexo costs a whopping 850 pesos plus what the girl will charge, which, in my case, would have been 1,000 pesos, so 1,850 pesos, or about us$180 total. crazy.

only about 6 tables were occupied when i arrived, and there were about 15 chicas in the house. as befitting a glitzy “men’s club,” they were all dressed in nice, clean stripper outfits. and like most of the women in guadalajara, the majority were blondes, though i doubt that any was a natural blonde. right after ordering my beers, i made a trip to the bathroom, and on the way, a cute, curly-haired blonde caught my eye, and she gave me a wonderful, shameless, intense stare all the way to the bathroom and all the way back to my table. hmmm. and like in the horrible strip clubs in the zona rosa in mexico city, sure enough, a waiter came to me with a chica in his arm a mere seconds after i returned from the bathroom and before i could even take two sips of my beer. but luckily, luckily, the girl he brought to me was the aforementioned sweetie: cute, cute, little, curly blonde...

though not as bad as the rotten scs in mexico city, every 10 minutes a waiter came up to me suggesting privados or sexo in a room. just decline politely each time and they’ll be cool. i bought two tiny fake beers for jimena, but it was worth it: she was totally engaged, staring at me suggestively all the while, making sure i was happy. after finding out the price for privados and for sex in a room, i finally told her, “look. the rooms are too expensive. if i got a privado with you, would you give me a hj without charging me extra?” “of course, mi amor!” she said. and that is how it transpired, señores. a very nice bbhj with a super hot sweetie, including some very nice dfk. in short, if 1,800 pesos for sexo isn’t a problem for you, i would highly, highly recommend little jimena. you won’t be sorry.

as for the brothels, i had planned on going to the three at the intersection of av. lópez mateos and cal. cárdenas: high class, [CodeWord123], and jovi. taxi to that part of town from el centro is at least 50 pesos, however. so, again, the 100 for the taxi ride on top of about 600 for sexo sorta turned me off. but, again, i got lucky. on friday afternoon, i decided to take an alternate route back to my hotel, where i literally stumbled upon another “estética masculina” basically right across the street from my hotel. i recognized the name from this board, nefertiti, though they have since moved around the corner and have changed names: it’s now called estética masculina mediterraneo and it is right across the street from the hotel missíon carlton, at 970 niños héroes, which is basically still in el centro.

at 7 in the evening, about 10 chicas in the house, all with nice looking clothes, all with various degrees of blonde hair which gave them a nice modern look not common in oaxaca or chiapas, and all with very white skin. i was very pleasantly surprised, since they basically looked like any of the super-hot, hip chicas i saw walking the streets of mexico’s second city, whom i had been dying to jump on. but you don’t get to choose the girl. upon entering, a chica grabbed my arm and took me to the adjoining room, where she explained the prices. she mentioned two levels of service, and i chose the second for 460 pesos, or us$42. (not sure what the first level of service was; i couldn’t understand her spanish very well.) in any case, alejandra (or alex) is a short, only slightly pudgy cutie, more like she’s got a bit of baby fat, with longish brown hair streaked with blonde. 21 years old. very nice, largish natural breasts. she started with a sorta lame massage (it’s a male beauty salon after all), but we quickly got down to business. very nice cbj, with lots of eye contact. and sucking my balls with her luscious mouth, again with great eye contact. ay, señores. and when we got to missionary, compadres, i lasted less than a minute, don’t know why... but luckily she suggested another pop for 200 more, and that extra price didn’t bother me at all, since i knew that alex knew how to give great service.

in summary, i was very impressed with the level of service in guadalajara, though i was only with 2 girls. i’d forget the strip clubs, unless high prices aren’t an issue, and try out the estéticas, which seem to be a very economical and convenient fuck with girls that give off a nice vibe of being hip, hot, modern chicas.

1. the sc juniors opens early, at 4 pm, and closes late, at 5 am. i’m quite sure jimena said they are open sundays as well.

2. mediterraneo and most of the other brothels seem to open at 10 am and close at 9 pm. mediterraneo is also open sundays, but they close early, at 6 pm (?). i imagine this is the case for the other brothels as well.

3. i asked alex at mediterraneo what the time limit was for the 460 pesos, and she looked at me kinda confused. “uh...that’s the cost for one servicio.” so, i guess that means that there is really no time limit, and i can confirm that for the fact that in the hour i was with her, there was no knock at the door. or maybe it’s for an hour?

guadalajara, mexico trip report 7/06

due to work/time restrictions and high airfare costs over the july 4th weekend i decided to take a much needed break and explore new venues closer to home. my main criteria was direct flights, monger friendly, non- touristy, historic, and latin. flights to costa rica were outrageous and unavailable so i checked aeromexico for direct flights into either mexico city or guadalajara. both cities have intrigued me for years. i had heard that guadalajara was less congested and more authentic so i booked the 1 ½ hour red eye on set my sights on the birthplace of tequila and mariachis.

i have visited many of the mexican costal and border towns like cancun, cabo san lucas, mazatlan, puerto vallarta, tijuana, nogales, and laredo. guadalajara is not renowned for its mongering scene but makes up for it with outstanding architecture, great music, mariachis and fun loving people. july is the rainy season in central mexico but after spending the last few months in 110 degree arizona heat it felt great to exit the plane at miguel hidalgo international airport and feel the cool breeze and embrace the excitement of a new venue.

guadalajara, the capital of the state of jalisco and the second- largest city in mexico, is also one of the most serene and pleasant urban centers in which to live. “the pearl of the west”, as it is known, is a modern city that maintains much of its colonial charm. its rich heritage dates back to the mid 1500’s and can be seen in the beauty of its buildings, such as the grand residences, courtyards, plazas, fountains, and old churches. geographically, gdl is in the center of mexico, about a 3 hour drive to acapulco, sits at 5,000 ft. above sea level and is on the same latitude as the hawaiian islands.

after taking a taxi to the centro historico i checked into the hotel de mendoza, a 4 star converted monastery located next to the renowned teatro delgado (replica of the pantheon in rome) and plaza liberacion. guadalajara is best seen by foot or carriage and this location provided me with easy access to the cities most popular plaza’s, historic buildings, and shopping districts. it was pouring the first night i arrived so i spent time in the lobby bar of my hotel chatting with a group of chica’s that had just arrived from los angeles. i found out that the next day (sunday) was the presidential election and there was a ban on liquor sales the entire weekend. wow!! no drinking for the first day and a half of my mexican sojourn???

the next morning i woke to church bells ringing at the central cathedral. i had a quick breakfast and chatted with the concierge about what was going on in the city. he told me that due to the elections the center of gdl may be a little low key. i decided to take a ½ day tour of the surrounding areas and spent time in chapala and ajajiic. both of these small towns are located about 45 minutes north of gdl and are havens for artists and retiree’s from around the globe. lake chapala is the largest fresh water lake in mexico and during the weekends and tourist seasons are quite busy. it was nice to see the mexican countryside but i was anxious to get back to the city. i spent the evening walking around the various plazas surrounding the main cathedral and noticed a very interesting vibe due to the political situation that was brewing, and still is to this very day!

i spent the next two days walking from plaza to plaza, mercado’s to liquor stores, sipping various different kinds of agave tequila, drinking negro modella, estrella, and enjoying the various cafés, restaurants, hotels, and courtyards. i must have seen over 100 fountains in just the centro!

i did break down and decided to visit a estancia masculina called [CodeWord123]. i had done some research into the mongering scene on the wsg and decided to give this place a try. i had to take a taxi (60 pesos) from the center of town and enjoyed winding thru the various neighborhoods and non-tourist districts of gdl. upon arrival, you are greeted by a guy that asks if you want a massage, then followed by the question “do you want full service” this was in broken english but i understand enough spanish to get me into trouble. i asked how much and he quoted what was equivalent to about $100 usd. as some of you may know, i am not much on grinding down on the price and was quite content with the selection of girls that i saw parading around the entrance. we agreed to 45 minutes and he brought me to a typical massage room, table, mirror, fans, shower, etc.. i do not recall the name of the girl i picked but she had that butterscotch, carmen electra look that i really like. streaked brownish, blond hair, nice petite figure, broken english and good “oral skills” ha ha  the session started with a short massage, then she went right into the bj. she wanted to go right into the sexo but i had her change positions on the table so i could enjoy some of the sweet trimmed “taco” between her legs. she arched and squirmed, moaned and twitched until i decided it was time to do some spinning all in all, a pretty decent session. she asked how long i was going to be in town and unfortunately i had to tell her i was leaving the following day. her demeanor changed drastically (as i predicted) so i bid her farewell and headed back out to the streets. it took me a while to flag down a taxi but within 10 minutes i was back in the centro, enjoying tequila, cerveza, and the wonderful local scene downtown.

i spent the next day wandering around tlaquepaque, mercado’s, plaza’s, and ended up sitting outside the teatro delgado drinking some of mexico’s finest tequila, negro modelo, and enjoying the city vibe.

in conclusion, i would rate guadalajara very close to barcelona, without the ocean!

I am making my first visit to GDL arriving next saturday and staying until July 4th. Most likely will be staying at the Hilton but would like to check out the various parts of the City.

I thought long and hard about staying closer to the Historic area but when I check out new cities I always stay in a 5 Star for the first night. This ensures that I don't have culture shock right of the bat due to the Hotel I choose. Nothing worse than being stuck in a mediocre place and starting the trip off with a negative vibe.
