Just FYI if you continue to have issues with Uber I'd try InDriver App. Works like Uber but you put the price your willing to pay. A driver will respond to accept or offer what they think is fair. You will get not only private drivers but also regular taxis use it so you have a lot of options. Not sure why Uber is slow and more expensive in GDL now compared to last year but you do have other options.

Hotel Love it Consuelo. I can confirm a Saturday night here is a very noisy experience. I was on 5th floor. Would never stay at this place again. Music going all night from club across the street. After this I stayed at Krystal Urban Hotel.
