I have a premium membership and have been searching SA profiles since two to three weeks. And till now I only go two profiles which were genuine but not my type. Still in search of a good connection but till date I could only find scammers who don't agree for video calls.

Beware of a girl initiating conversation. This same lady pinged me and asked my name and profession. I said never ask personal information and am in SA only for discretion. Anyways she asked my WA number, for which I said I didn't have one. She said she doesn't have tele. I blocked her. Always give teleid and never reveal phone number in tele.

Then he threatened me that I will file FIR against you and your chats are available your photo is available. I will give to media and all shits. Me being a lawyer I have asked him under which section you're going to file an FIR? Just chatting with major lady not minor doesn't amount to sexual harassment. If you look at the chat you will find that she is working girl and offered me paid meeting first. Then I called his bluff. The moment I mentioned that I am a Lawyer he disconnected phone. I said you go and file FIR and send me summons I will send my lawyer to your police station. I do have lots of friends practicing law in Delhi. The takeaway from this is as follows:

1. Try to avoid chatting in whatsapp;.

2. Even you chat please don't share photos;.

3. Don't panic when you receive a call from enforcement agencies. In my case the moment I spoke with that gentleman I realised that he is fake.

4. No working girl reveals her real identity. She has mentioned her name as Radhika in whatsapp chat and this gentleman is saying Radhika is arrested. This is redflag.

5. Search whether the call is received from an enforcement agency. You may check in true caller. True caller is private app and anyone can manipulate. Go to respective government agencies website and look at official numbers. Any thing which resembles the number you received a call then you're actually stuck.

6. None of the government agencies uses gmail nowadays.

You guys can add for larger public interest.

The scams posted earlier are common, but people still fall for them. Some guidelines:

Never share your number. It has never ended well. You can do it when you are in a relationship and you verify her number and identity as well (I ask her number to do UPI payments, which are verified on the Pay app. For Rs 2000, a private investigator will get all your KYC details related to your SIM. Ideally get her ID before the act, since it is needed for a hotel check in.

Meet only at a restaurant you are comfortable with. In my regular places, the servers know me and since its generally a more classy place than whatever the girl suggests, there is no reason not to meet there.

Share a pic from your facebook account. It cannot be reverse image searched and if threatened with blackmail, you can say that anyone could have listed it from your FB.

You can either say you're single or have a open marriage and spouse knows about your girls.

Don't be too concerned about a video call recording. Who will they share it with? In fact, you can tape it to prove it was online dating and she wanted benefits for your company.

If she comes to your hotel room, you can't be charged with anything. She'll have to explain why she was in your room. If you check in together, its a consensual relationship. The only crime anyone can be charged with is blackmail and pimping (if the blackmailer is not related to the girl).

Happened with me too. The reverse image search of the 'cop' DP on whatsapp, showed that it was lifted from the internet. These guys are 10th pass types who are in no position to. actually cause you harm, but will be scared if you tell them you are tracking their location, or would like to be connected with the ACP handling their station (internet search will give you the name of the ACP). The scam operates because there is always someone who will fall for it.

Recently Noida police busted a scam, a girl was swiping people on tinder / bumble, goes to hotel room, she says she is not comfortable for the act, both of you people leave, next day her BF calls and backmails saying that they are filing a rape case, plenty of people paid money to them. One guy approached police and they were busted red handed while taking money, it was an organized racket.

Few more common scams:

1. a girl will ask to meet you to at a particular restaurant / bar / club, they will add inflated prices in the bill, no option but to pay, and girl will get a share on that bill. (happened to a friend, paid 10 k for few drinks, he resisted, but few bouncer guys came over and started taking his pics, so kind of panicked.).

2. recording during video call and next day you will get morphed pics / videos and they will resort to blackmail.

Few tips:

1. be cautious during video call confirmation, use glasses or mask, get cheap mustache / beard plugs.

2. make few friends at particular bar / club / restaurant, so if there is any issue, they will be helpful.

3. it is always hotel or restaurant of your choice, not hers.

4. make sure other person is not placing her bag, watch or gadget in a position which will be able to record the act, just ask her to put all the belongings in a drawer.
